cotto always start slow, the 1st round is to measure his opponent, and when did cotto say in the last fight that he was giving up, if u seen cotto if he is up, he's not going to go for a knock out cause he's up but he's not going to lay back as well, he showed no sign of slowing down in the fight it ended in the 5th round, so what are you talking about

Co Sign Clottey is more deserving then both. Wonder what Shane has in his future. Why not fight Cotto in a rematch? maybe Cotto gets a fight in June and then a third fight this year in December against Shane. Be nice to see Cotto fight Clottey and Clottey get a decent pay day. if Cotto wins see him against Shane in a rematch. Shane could stay active and fight in or around the same time like in June or July against ?? Let's wait and see would be good to see this play out....Lefty

Exactly, Cintron is a mut in my opinion, a stinky, dirty coward.

I agree that it would be a nice fight but I dont think that Pacquiao can beat Mosley or Cotto.

I think more fight fans want to see Cotto/Clottey rather than Cotto/Cintron.

I agree with you on Cotto's chin. I think the problems with Cotto's chin was when he was having problems to make the weight in 140 when he came to the fights dehydrated.

After he went to 147 he has taken good punches from Zab Judah, Quitana, Mosley and Margarito and none of them have knocked him down. Remember that in the Margarito fight he put a knee down but was not knocked down and if you add that it was probaly ilegal reinforced punches from Margarito I don't think knowbody will knock him out in that division.

All of these boxers are stronger then the Ricardo Torres and Marcus Corey, among others that hurt him at 140 which proves that it was a weight issue.

I also believe that the broken nose in the 2nd round against Margarito (we will never know if it was with the "plaster" or not) affected him in the later rounds, and like I said on a thread earlier if you do not breath properly your side effects eventually will be dizziness and lost of strenght in your legs which is what Cotto had said he suffered after the 7 round against Margarito.

Probably he did have a good stamina for that fight and probably the 2nd round blow to the nose (legal or ilegal) affected his fight. That we will never know. But keep in mind that it was in the later rounds that he knocked out Zab Judah and in the Mosley fight he was in front and decided not to risk himself.

In the fight against Jennings he did started studying his oponent but by the 2nd round he tried to start pressing the fight but all that Jenning did was refuse to fight and backup and it took Cotto a while to start cutting of the ring. If Jenninngs would had not refused the pressure he would had probably been knocked out earlier. I don't think Cotto was saving himself for later rounds, it was the type of fight his oponent choosed to bring to the table.

I don't see Cotto fighting Mosley at the end of the year. Keep in mind that Arum will want to make the most money out of Cotto this year because he will probably lose him to another promoter. Their contract expires this year.

Having said that Arum will probably face Cotto with one of his own boxers so he can have the 100% promoting rights and won't have to split the money with no other promoter. That's why I believe Clottey and Pacquiao (if Pacquiao's team accepts) will be fighting Cotto next in the next 2 fights.

Being that both Clottey and Pacquiao are under Arum's Top Rank Promotions, he will be the sole promoter for both of Cotto's next fights before Cotto leaves Arum, if he decides to do so.

A Mosley rematch might be happening (in my opinion) at the begining in 2010 whether it's promted under Arum with Cotto or not.

This is all about business and what will make more money for Bob Arum.

Cintron should not get a shot at cotto b4 Collazo....that would be the best fight for the puerto rican crowd if he's not unifying!

clottey could spell disaster for the puerto rican. would be better off taking another fight before facing clottey.
