Your pops was one of the 1980's best amateur light welterweights in an era when 139 was a DEEEEP class (John Meekins, Jerry Page, Henry Hughes, etc etc...even Meldrick Taylor fought there for a whle before going back down to 125 for the Olympics)...all respect to him...

          Felix savon comes to mind as a great am Srl was no joke either you already mentioned tef stevenson there are a lot of guys that were wonderful in the ams,he is no all time am fighter but auggy sanchez comes to mind i believe he was mayweathers last loss of any kind.

                yea, Augie (Vanilla Ice Look Alike LOL) was a very accomplished amateur...and he beat Floyd in 1996, shortly before the Olympics...
