I agree with everybody who says Margarito should not fight in Mexico and that doing so will screw his chances of ever getting his license back in the US because the Commission will be pissed that he defied their ruling.

At the same time, the article says that Mexico feels the ruling was unfair because it was made without lab results (real certified 100% proof that it's plaster or something like it... which it seems like it is, but again, even if it's say 95% likely, it hasn't been legally proven).

I can't speak for an entire nation, but being of Mexican heritage, I suspect that a small part of this Marg fighting in Mexico is that some Mexicans feel there's a lot of anomosity directed towards them, especially from the U.S. I mean, you can see it here... just in this thread alone somebody is saying all Mexicans are good for is to be in drug cartels. The anti-Mexican **** is everywhere.

Articles have stated that the test results of the substance didn't happen sooner because they are backed up with murder and assault cases (esentially, it's a low priority). The argument is why not wait until the result to make the decision? Keep the temporary supsension until confirmation. But because the Commission wanted to act fast (partly to deflect attention from them not doing their job right the night of the fight), they revoke Marg's license, leading some Mexicans to feel it was not fair because all the facts were not present. MLB steroid cases go on for years, this decision was swift at a hearing not a trial.

Again, I'm not defending Marg. Loaded wraps are evil. (And Arum really didn't have Mexican's best interest in mind with his comments, it's all just money with him.)

I'm just saying, this might be partly what's going on with Mexico showing Marg support... (And no, I haven't forgotten about corrupt politicians... They're gonna say whatever they think lines their pockets... but then again I don't have proof that these specific politicians are corrupt... I'm just assuming because it seems likely... See what I mean?)

I called it the day after the fight.

this hand-wrap situation isn't going to do anything to margarito's career in mexico. he is still a hero to his ppl. Margarito could live the rest of his life as if America doesn't even exist and he'll be fine. Marg=scum.

it's unbelieveble that bob is defending "the cheater" instead of taking care of Clotley and Cotto, even if margarito is inocent, which is b.s., his career it's over

but you still be watching t.v and be watching sports and youd still be watching hbos corrupted ass broadcast crew, you watched mosley vs margarito and mosley, 2 cheaters, mosley is still under investigation as a cheater and you watched the admitted cheaters fight vs a recently discovered cheater fight, now thats still being a hypocryte, i will continue watching cheaters cheat in boxing without making statements like

I agree. I hope the honorable Mexican fans of this sport don't show up any his fights. I'm still blown away that Margarito didn't at the very least admit to the poor choice he made and apologize, I would at least respected him for that. A man admits his mistakes, a child tries to blame someone else

So you are still supporting cheaters as fighters, you still on boxing scene supporting boxing where any fighter can cheat at any moment, every fight has cheating in it, cheating is cheating so you have to be a big hypocryte if you are still posting about boxing cause boxing is corrupt and you replying to me is basically supporting a corrupted sport which makes us both Americans (or whatever your nationality is) without honor, at least im honest, youre just a hypocryte

after he got caught cheating and after many years of suspision( years of cheating maybe,

all sports are corrupted, the politicians that suspended the cheater margarito are prob. corruptted as well, you, yourself are corrupted by embellishing the true facts about shane admitting he was on steroids, (Jose)your corrupted mind embellished the truth and lied in this thread to make it seem like shane admitted guilt when reality was he got caught and was forced to make deceitful admittance on his roid use, he claimed he didnt know he used roids(cheating the public on reality about the true facts about his steroid use, still), so my ass, you and i are corrupted, so is shane , the lying cheater(Margarito too)

Just stop acting like you are better than everyone else cause everyone cheats

Isn't it enought that Antonio Margarito who was on the brink of being as popular a fighter as JCC flushed everything down the toilet not only in the ring but outside the ring as well.

The largest crowd in Staples center history came out to see him and he fell right back into obscurity in a mere 24 hours.

Karma and Justice have been served so who cares if he earns a hundred grand fighting in Mexico.

                WHO ***IN CARES!!!

I respect your opinion but, the bottom line here is accept your mistakes and face it like a man.

once again with a hypocrytes statement, both fighters cheated and both have not really admitted guilt, a two faced cheater and a full blown cheater

                      Good Post Libido,

I do agree that there are negative comments on the threads which are unfair to the Mexican people. On behave of the respectful people on the forum I apoligize for that because it shouldn't happen.

In Margarito's case it's true that the lab test of the substance has not arrived but the test is to clear what type of ilegal substance was used. It has been determine already that it was not suppose to be used, doesn't matter what iit turns out to be because it was not gauze or tape, which is the only material allowed in the wraps.

The other fact is that Javier Capetillo said that it was only on one wrap and when they open the second wrap it was there also so they got caught lying.
3rd fact is that's there's no way that Margarito didn't know what being put in his hands because he's in front of the person who's by the way wrapping his own hands.

For that only is why he got a suspension. If they discover that the material is a very dangerous material that suspension can increase.

Having said that, and being that you seem like a serious guy,
Would you like that Margarito fight in Mexico if instead of cheatin against Mosley it would had been against Julio Cesar Chavez or Salvador Sanchez???
                      Don't think so.

You Mexicans should be very proud of all the warrior and great Champions that your country has produce , but in my humble opinion, at this moment Margarito doesn't fall in that catergory.

                      PS
God Bless Mexico and their People
