Manny gets a pass from me for all the guys he missed from 122 to 147 because he did fight JMM twice so that makes up for any of the champions he missed at 122,126,130,135.

Clinching is legal, but done excessively(which Fatton does, imo) f**ks up the flow of the fight and refs can penalize a fighter for too much clinching.

However, I think Fatton should put the "clinch gameplan" on from the very start of the fight. Wrestling PAC from the get-go would wear PAC's arms & legs down and Fatton should start putting up a high workrate starting the 6th round.

If you watched GSP vs Penn 2, GSP's strategy was to wrestle the more superior boxer, Penn, in the first two rounds, so Penn's first line of offense/defense(his jab) was no longer effective and GSP was able to go in right away.


For PAC, I think he needs to be more alert on the inside, he lacks the craftiness, Barrera in their rematch was able to let some punches off, right after the break, and as we all know, alot of times refs will just give a fighter a warning. Also he needs to stay relax and not get into a "I'm stronger than you game" while Fatton is trying to wrestle him

I think everyone may be overestimating Pacquiao's power at these higher weights. He never once dazed DeLahoya even though he landed flush lefts and rights at will. If Hatton is successfull in cutting the ring off and landing to the body inside Manny might be in trouble after all Manny has been hurt by much smaller men who aren't particularly big punchers. I still have Manny in a decision by 3 or 4 rounds and he is unquestionably p4p king, but pinoys beware if Manny tries to brawel.
