The point of this was to say when someone you love and trusts tells you to do something, you have faith in them that what they are telling you is something that will not harm you in any way. In Margarito's case he trusts Capetillo with his career. And i assume he believes whatever Capetillo tells him in the corner and in the gym are things that would not hurt him or his career. Margarito probably knew they were there but he trusted a man he loved as a father that they were ok to be in there.

This is all what i want to believe what Margarito is thinking. I cant say i know for sure since i was never there or since i dont know him personally.

Hypothetically speaking if his hands have been wrapped this way since he first stepped foot in the gym would he know of any other ways of hand wrapping?

Hypothetically, yes. He's been in gyms, he's seem other fighters wrap their hands, he's been in dressing rooms, he's seen how other trainers do it. Unless everyone out there is doing it, then he should definitely know if there's something wrong with the padding, he can't be that dumb.

Meaning, lets say your father or a man who is like a father to you is your trainer for so many years and he puts something in your hand wraps and he tells you its no big deal. You all cant tell me you would question his words. At least if you consider this father figure close. This is someone you trust your life and career with. Margarito trusted Capetillo with the fact that the hard substance was no big deal.

Margarito just followed the instructions of his trainer and father figure.

This is my opinion on all of this. I am not saying i approve of what could have happened with this hard substance. They deserve punishments that are proportion to the act.

I perfectly understand the point os this thread, is just you looking for way to try and justify the situation. What you don't seem to understand Margarito is a 30 year old man fighting for millions of dollars. He came up in one of the worst places in Mexico, so I seriously doubt that he would be this gullible. Capetillo and Margarito knew that he didn't have what it took to become a great champion so they cheated. Not Capetillo but the both of them, they did this for money, not just money but lots of money. If you think otherwise you're just being foolish.
