Only reason Tito doesn't get respect from a lot of these guys is because they picked up boxing a few years ago, see Oscar's resume on boxrec, couple that with all the "big fights" he's been in and naturally assume he should be rated higher.

They have NO background at all on when those fights occured, nor the situations behind them.

He never wanted to really exchange with tito and the running was one of the dumbest things ive ever seen. Trinidad has only lost to bigger men who were defensive minded. Titos resume stands out so much more than moselys or oscars, he has more title defences, more impressive wins, and not for nothing he retired early, had he stayed in boxing past 30 like the other two hed have an even better record! He captured the hearts of the puerto ricans and put puerto rico back on the map in the boxing world. Oscar was good and he fought everybody, but he lost most of his big fights. And people say oscar was a beast in his prime but to me he ran against tito, ducked margarito, became famous for beating an aged chavez and then lost most his big fights. And if this question was posed before shane beat margarito nobody wouldve picked him....there all great, there all hall of famers, oscars heart is questionable, he never won the biig fights and was never a dominant fighter outside of the money. Shanes solid, quality wins and a steady career, but i wouldve liked to see him take on margarito and mayweather earlier in his career, and the steroids thing doesnt help at all. And tito was a solid puncher with power in both hands. He had trouble with boxers a bit, but all 3 loses were in divisions that he jumped into for money, he dominated his divisions, in his prime he was a force like no other. Consistently knocked people out and didnt turn anyone away. I agree that having his father instead of a roach or steward in his corner limited what he could do, but the rican fighters usually dont convert to the american trainers. Overall, i just think tito did it when it counted. He beat guys his whole career, no mismatches or bull**** fights, every fight was against an undefeated fighter, a champion, or a quality opponent. He gave numerous good fighters there first loss and in the end when you go 12 rounds with heavier guys with the skill of hopkins and wrights, and you count those as your only loses...( jones was a money fight, 170?) ..its impressive to me, hopkins is still taking the young brawlers to school( pavlik.) and wright is about to fight another young contender in williams. ...tito is a legend and in my eyes still doesnt get the true respect. Oscar and shane have all lost fighting there own style, loses to hopkins and wright are a little different because of there styles, but nobody went toe to toe and beat tito and he cleaned every bodys clock...

couldnt have said it better myself. people like to say well oscar beat tito, well what about oscar? He lost to tito, mosley (twice) hopkins, mayweather, pacman, and should have lost to ike, sweet pea and sturm. his biggest win was against vargas and man whose career was destroyed by tito. What all these guys have though is what all these fighters today are lacking... being fearless. These guys took on the best because they were the best. if we had fighters like them in this era boxing would not be dying because we would get all the fights the fans crave. there all atg but as of now i see tito shane and oscar in that order. mosley may pass tito but i think we will have to see how the rest of his career plays out

i agree...hes more known to the mainstream fan, but tito was the most dominant. He was the man a pleasure to watch...in fact people..just go youtube it. Go look at all 3 boxers and you ll see the damage trinidad did. For all the chin talk trinidad was never stopped like oscar or mosely. I believe hopkins stopped him in the 12th, but thats a big hopkins bullying him, it was a push. Trindad captured the fans more, they loved him, how many people actually love oscar? Thewy know him cause hes popular, they dont love him.

Mosley should be ranked higher to me. He was great in his prime and at his current age he is still a serious threat. Trinidad and Oscar have both crumbled now. Shane, however, remains a solid challenge and risk to anyone, and he is now King of 147.

                    I voted for Tito.

He has the better wins IMO, and a lot of the wins that he shares with DLH are guys that Tito beat (and damaged) first.

As for Shane, he's obviously done very well recently, but I don't think that his achievements are superior to Tito's.
