Punch for punch I think Mayweather has more pop. Pac is the type of fighter that makes you feel his power from the opening bell. Mayweather starts slower and increases amount of lead rights as the fights gets going. Floyd does fight saftey first but does damage when he gets comfrotable. Mannys style is to attempt to do damage from the start and his style doesn't allow him to fight as safe as Mayweather. The end conclusion is it would be fun to watch them fight each other.

True that. Not only does Floyd appear to have more pop, but he lands every shot on the chin or the temple no matter what the distance or angle. Pac lands his hardest shots while lunging forward with all his weight behind him. He throws them so hard his feet often leave the ground. However, Floyd can plant his feet and generate more power just by turning into every punch with perfect form at high speed. That straight right hand he dropped Corrales with was picture perfect. Both guys are fast, athletic and powerful but I think Floyd edges Manny out in every category. And then defensively Floyd is just a whole 'nother animal

at the lower weights floyd was exciting because they were fast enough to make him fight.

at 140 and 147 floyd's speed is so much faster in comparison to his opposition hence why such lopsided fights.

that is completely true. still i wish that Mayweather would have used his punching speed more to his advantage with landing various combinations. i mean nobody at welterweight today has anywhere near the speed to beat him to the punch. the only fighters now that could do it is Pacquiao and maybe Cotto but not really. He could have still been a exciting fighter like Pac has done at the higher weight classes. Pacquiao hasnt gone completely crazy at the higher weights he has been a lot more careful and improved his timing but at the same he still uses his speed to land exciting flurries that his opponents dont see coming! Mayweather could have easily fought at a similar style while still using his tremendous defense but well i just think his 0 was too important to him that made him refuse to take any risks...
