losing fights nowadays really stinks for the fighters.

if you lose ONE fight, it could ruin your career. Once you lose, people call you a bum and a loser. I'll give you some examples.

Kelly Pavlik, he got owned by bernard hopkins, even though he was really sick and had a hurt elbow, he still probably should have done better. But right after he lost, people called him a loser, and he doesn't deserve those belts.

Andy Lee, he was a great contender. but once he lost(by a terrible stoppage), people didn't think he was good. and i've never heard from him since.

I think people take losing ONE fight to seriously.

Just the nature of the beast, nowadays. Fans have such short attention spans and fans have gotten a lot dumber over the years. With the explosion of the Internet, you'd think fans would have more room to be SO MUCH SMARTER. Instead, they just took their dumbass logic and ideas to a world-wide level.

    What can you do.

One loss, exposed. Bum. Never-been. They should kill his family, because they are pointless. I NOW HATE HIS RACE!

    Pathetic, pathetic people.

Not unless you’re Zab Judah or Rocky Juarez…the more you lose, the more title shots you get

True, if you lose, you've been "exposed". End of.

          Absolutely ridiculous.

It hasn't hurt Glen Johnsons career either.

You just need to keep your gob shut and not claim to be the best at your weight.

Calling the top of your division out before you've even fought top ten opposition is probably not a great idea either.

            Are you listening DeGale!

Pavlik will be back. Hopkins is a great fighter. No shame in losing to him. Especially considering he had a career day and the facts that Pavlik was injured in training and the fight was at 170 lbs.

In case Pavlik isn't favored against any other middleweight then I suggest putting a heavy bet on him to win.
