I was making casual conversation with a friend and began telling her about the Margarito hand wrap incident. As I laid it all out, I told her about Kermit Cintron who was a huge puncher and got his azz kicked easy by Tony Margarito and that the only two loses were at the hands of Margarito. I then told her that undefeated Miguel Cotto had also faced Margarito and that he ended up destroying Cotto in the final rounds and then I told her that just before Margaritos fight against Shane Mosley, Tony was caught with some illegal objects under his hand wraps and was forced to re-wrap his hands. The wraps and the objects were confiscated immediately. Those present said it was a brick like substance such as plaster and it's what doctors use to make casts. Tony came to the ring and got totally destroyed by a 37 year old fighter who had no business beating Tony. All she said was it sounds to me like Tony cheated against Cintron and Cotto for sure.

Even someone who does not watch boxing can understand this, why can't the **** heads who do follow the sport see it?

Because we still DON'T KNOW if Margarito DID do the handwrap thing against Cintron and Cotto.

There is still NO EVIDENCE.

Margarito beat Cintron up...it was expected.

I thought Margarito won against Cotto because of his rock solid chin...His rock solid chin does not have anything to do with the illegal handwraps he MIGHT have been using that day.

Margarito might have worn Cotto out because of the illegal handwrapssure...

But when Mosley fought margarito it shouldnt be the handwraps that people are looking at...it SHOULD be the tactic Mosley used against Margarito...Mosley was able to Push Marg back because of his style not because Marg didnt have plaster in his hands...

Cotto on the other hand didnt do what Mosley did...Cotto moved backwards during te whole fight against Marg...He didnt clinch and ran out of stamina...thats why he lost...Mosley clinched and used his energy wisely.

The handwraps MAY have had something to do with it...but it is NOT EVERYTHING.
