na but check this out, u lookin at a picture right after the fight, that pic of Collins was taken much after the fight. Also look @ Kizer trying to save his ass now by saying that the substance was not used for the Cotto fight, of course, cause he can lose his job also because of poor inspection on their part, **** if my group of people did not potentially do what they were supposed to do and all hell break loose imma back up my people, nice of Kizer to do but we all know his role.

Because his son's face was permanently and irreparably severely damaged, he partially lost his eyesight, also permanently, and was so badly affected mentally that he committed suicide soon afterwards. Cotto recovered physically within a few days and seems to have recovered mentally as well.

If you read the article this is coming from the mouth of Collins sr. himself and I would rather take his word than yours or anybody on the boxing scene.

The cotto fight does seem reall suspect too me now. Like Grustler said, Cotto has been hurt before and gotten up, Cotto has been hit by harder punchers and gotten. against margarito, he was taking knees before he was even hit!! I don't know.....don't look good!

Cotto looked like he had no bruises at all only a few days after the fight.

It's just not a comparable situation because Collins Jr suffered permanent damage that ended his boxing career.

This whole story line is fascinating but come on, we don't yet have any "facts". Did Margarito try to cheat? Did he? I don't yet know and neither do ANY of you. IF Margarito intentionally put plaster of paris or a similar object in his wraps...then you can all jump up and down and scream, yell, and complain. I'll be right there with you. BUT...let's not jump to any conclusions. Until something is proven, I'm going to give Margarito the benefit of the doubt...that should be our way here in the US. When he fought Cintron, someone from Cintron's camp (picked by Steward) was in the locker room watching the hands being wrapped. If you've never been in a locker room, there is person from the commission AND a person from the other camp in the room...watching the wraps. This is how it is. I find it amazing to "think" that Margarito or his camp thought they would be able to get away with something like this. This is one of the reasons, I just don't think it happened like everyone has jumped to the conclusion it has. If it did...then the person from Cotto and Cintron's camp who was in the locker room watching the wraps should be banned from boxing. What were they doing/watching during the hand wrap - taking a nap? The appropriate person from the commission should also be fired. That is the job of that person...to make sure the wraps are being done properly and legally!
So...I hope Margarito did not intentionally do anything illegal. I'm not a Margarito fan, but I do respect the way he fights. Does he eat plaster of paris? Maybe that would explain the way he takes the very best punched his opponents have to offer. Was it plaster of paris in his wraps that enabled him to walk through (with a smile) the best bombs of these fighters? Let's give Margarito the respect he has earned until we get all the facts. FACTS are what is needed right now.

But also, Margarito didn't have an ounce of pads removed like Resto did. The removal of padding plus the plaster of paris is more damaging than what Margarito is being accused of doing. So if it was done for the Cotto fight, it does make sense that Cotto was seemingly able to recover.

I mean if Collins Sr. said that Cotto looked similar to how his son looked then you have to take heed to wisdom & experience. Dude is 71 years old & witnessed it first hand. That guy Lewis said he soaked his hands in the plaster, Margarito just had blocks in his wraps so the severity might be lesser, plus Lewis Trainer took some padding out of the gloves on top of having the wraps soaked in Plaster of Paris. I'm not a Cotto fan but he was pretty busted up & Cotto is a durable fighter & Margarito is not that skilled & the few times he caught Cotto he hurt him pretty bad.

I've seen Cotto hurt, wobbled, shaky, dazed but he always came back to fight & I give him credit for that. Cotto took some pretty heavy power shots from Shane Mosley & stood his ground in there match & wasn't busted up like that even with Judah he got busted up but came back. With Margarito he didn't want No more? It ain't my job to pass judgment but I think he got caught red handed cheating & did it before. He was nothing special in the ring so had to make up for something. All of this is just my honest opinion but I feel Antonio Margarito is guilty. If ****m Richardson felt his wraps & was concerned & then the block fell out & had dried blood on it? Come on! He should get disciplined because he could have permanently hurt Cotto & attempted to hurt Shane Mosley severely.

Just cause Collins Sr. is saying this doesn't automatically make it true. If anything, he has less credibility because he's traumatized by this type of situation. He's probably too over sensitive to have a credible opinion.

Saying that Cotto was more busted up than his son is clear evidence of this. And kudos to Cintron for not acting like the ***** I expected him to act like.
