Whatever the substance was it fell out in a solid block. WOW. Guys read the actual original article very closely and you'll see how close Margarito was to getting away with the loaded gloves.

It was after ****m protested about something else and they were re-wrapping that he almost Accidentaly touched the substance and was himself surprised. He was supervising the wrapping and even HE missed the loaded block the first time they wrapped Margarito's gloves.

For the benefit of everyone involved especially the fans, the commission owes a thorough investigation checking past video...of past wrapping, the effects of Margaritos punches previously, etc...
This is the reason so many fans have turned away from boxing in disgust over the years...All in all its good to restore some trust and integrity in boxing with a solid investigation. Why don't the commissions just have objective non-interested people wrap both fighters in a standard fashion?

True, Why the hell would they risk that kind of cheating. If it's true that **** is totally unacceptable and they need to sanction and fine him for doing such bull****.

          The Bull****....

Everybody is all of a sudden saying margarito was "overrated" & somehow "exposed" which is nonsense. The fact is his fight style has never changed over the years. He fought sat. night's bout in the same exact manner as when he was so called boxing's most feared fighter. Everybody knows he's a pressure fighter who's going to come forward & take two or three shots just to get off one. The only difference that night was the gameplan implemented by team mosely. I want to know where all the **** jockey's who were in these same forums (and others) saying shane didn't have a chance & he'd get punished & possibly stopped. Its funny how many boxing enthusiasts dont utilize the slightest bit of common sense when predicting the outcome of a fight. You'll have someone who'll say margarito would reign victorious simply b/c he mauled cotto who had previously eeked out a close decision over mosely. If you know exactly what your opponent is going to bring to the table & you have 2-3 months to train & prepare for the bout, how do you fig. he wouldnt be able to implement the right strategy given the fact that he has the skills & physical tools to execute said gameplan. Shane fought an excellent match but this is by no means a "blueprint" for other fighters to somehow handle margarito cause all the other fighters knew what the tornado had to offer as well & werent able to effectively counter. Shane is still physically gifted even at age 37, is a student of the game, always in excellent physical condition, & has way above average boxing ability. Not to mention, he doesnt mind mixing it up when need be. Margarito simply got ripped by a future HOF'er. Lastly, anybody who's all of a sudden saying tony doesnt have a great chin is f'n insane. The way he was getting caught flush w/ those rt hands & left hooks all night says a lot about his chin & his heart cause the avg mofo wouldve got dropped well before rds 8 & 9.

But it still puts his career in question.
No way. He knew for sure. A boxers tools is his hands and fighters are very much aware what's going on with them.

The description of events in the opening post leaves a sickening taste in my mouth. If this holds water I hope the responsible goes to prison along with a long-term ban.

Yeah that's disturbing. The first wrap was indeed approved by the supervisor!!!

What is needed now is that the wrappings are being provided by the sanctioning commision in the dressing-room.

Richardson said the blocks of hardened gauze had been packed and treated in such as way that it could make Margarito's punches feel like bricks especially in later rounds. "As you fight the natural cushion in the gloves wear down," Richardson said, "so by the later rounds you're basically getting hit with that plaster in there. That kind of stuff is ridiculous

Is that the reason MARGARITO is always such a "late starter"? The way cotto's face was, margarito clearly cheated.

that trash was loaded for everyone of his fights as far as im concerned;if he loses against cotto & then never regains his rep back ,it'll be proof that his whole carreer was a fluke built from plaster paris period.

margarito knew this was happening because is ass was sitting right there watching his hands being wrapped. he is done. every fight for now on they will watch his wrap and now you will see a average slow ass puncher. cotto will nail margacheatos ass in the rematch and i'll be there again to see it.
