    Next For Shane?

who should shane mosley fight next, i really hope he doesnt fight Floyd, cause floyd would run errrrr........ box all night.

Mosley is a boxer puncher so im hoping he fights exciting fighters like Berto or the winner of hatton pacman.

im looking at the big picture now, i want big fights to bring attention back to boxing. Even though i dont really like Margarito but he brings a lot of action to fights.

Hopefully MArgarito comes back and fights Paul Williams or Cotto again.

Even though hes the best out there, but Floyd doesnt appeal to the casual fan or the sports fan whos leaning towards MMA now. The die hard fan may love the sweat science, hit and dont get hit, but in reality thats not what the majority want. People want to see more fights like the Mosley-MArg fights. Not the Oscar-Floyd fights.

For example, Ricardo Mayorga is a class B fighter but his style will catch peoples atention. Another fighter is Edison Miranda. He seems like he cant beat the elite but hes extremly exciting and should be put against big name opposition like Jermain Taylor or Jeff Lacy.

Fights like this are the ones that will bring boxing back to the front page.

another point id like to make is Chris Arreola. Hes a fat slob who just brawls and will probably get ****d by the Klitchskos, but hey hes exciting and brings in huge crowds. I think he should be showcased a lot on HBO.

I hope Shane retires after that great victory. He's not getting any younger and should have enough cash to keep him going for a while.

I think shane should lobby for either a mayweather fight or cotto rematch.

Both are legacy fights...and i think thats what mosley is looking for (especially judging by his decision to fight margarito when he could have taken on a lesser opponent just for the payday).

The cotto rematch is a good fight. The proof is ALL in the first fight. It was wildly entertaining and I dont think anyone that ordered that PPV or attended live felt cheated in anyway. it was a fight that exceeded my expectations and I believe a rematch will be just as close of a fight and just as exciting.

A fight with mayweather is another legacy fight but also a huge payday...a two for one in my opinion. It gives mosley a shot at one of the best (if not arguably THEE best of his time) that would be a huge PPV and media event. Similar to oscar v. floyd...

Mosley cant go wrong with either fight.

As for margarito i think he should allow cotto a rematch...its his best option right now other than maybe paul williams but from what i've read margarito isnt all that interested in rematching him yet...so cotto for sure...it was the FOTY (in my opinion) for 2008 and i have little reason to believe it would be anything less than spectacular a second time around.

mosley would kill hatton, i presume those suggesting he fights the winner of pac/hatton think pac is going to win

                    Yeah....ouch.

Mosley really would smash Ricky all over the place, he could stop him really early too. Considering he had Margarito on **** legs after about 20 seconds of the first round. If Mosley got into the same kind of rhythm against Hatton, he'd only be able to take about a quarter of what Margs took. Mosley also tied up Margarito very effectively inside, it would be even easier against the smaller Hatton.

I hope we never see Hatton/Mosley.
