your right. Cotto had the crisp combination which would be effective against any boxer aside from marg, Cotto should of concentrated on the one punch bombs to crumble marg.

And mosley was able to clinch marg in situations where cotto would trade with marg and then try and move out of there.

Margarito could see every shot coming from Cotto and they landed flush on his jaw. Mosley landed overhand rights that landed on the temple and then the jaw, which Margarito couldn't see. Mosley also had body work that wore him down.

The big difference was the clinching, every time Margarito started to get some sort of rhythm, Mosley would clinch him, get some separation and start unloading his bombs, especially the right hand over the top. And every time he felt his back to the ropes, he got out of there, he didn't use any unnecessary movement either. He also used his reach advantage to full effect, every time they were at range, Mosley would use that reach to keep Margarito off balance and out of rhythm. Very smart gameplan.

From round 1 Marg didnt look his confident self, Im sure knowing you dont have lethal concrete in your gloves was the reason.
