I agree that it has nothing to do with race. If these charges are proven against Margo, then he should be punished. This will be bad for boxing if its indeed true. I still Can't get the image of a bloody and battered Cotto out of my head. From the rumors I've heard, Cotto may never be the same.

Yes, this is what I remember as well. From what I understand fighters are allowed to use a certain amount (not sure how many inches of each) of tape and gauze. It is up to the fighter/trainer to decide how they want to distribute it (some prefer more on the wrist, others more knuckle padding), but they must apply all of the gauze at once, followed by the tape. Multiple layers of gauze and tape apparently makes the fist harder than it would be otherwise. I don't know how this would compare to adding plaster of paris to the knuckles, but it would provide some punching advantage; otherwise it would be legal. Layering the wraps is probably not as flagrant or as bold as adding plaster, but it certainly is cheating. Papa T certainly knew it was.

Of course it dont make much difference, it was a BS tactic to throw Tito's concentration off, not that he was mentally ready for this one regardless. But now, plaster, that's ***ed up. LOL

I lost all respect for Margarito, I b-came a fan after the win over Cotto, and hearing this just makes me sick, he's a ****n bastard and should be banned from boxing, I wonder if Cotto got the news, and I'm pretty sure he had those wraps in the Cotto fight, cuz his blows sounded much harder in the Cotto fight, and still with those cast made wraps Cotto still made it to the 11th round, Margarito is a disgrace!
