Dude, I'm not saying he's unhittable. But he's not just walking blind into shots. He keeps his gloves and arms in good position. Granted, he takes it on the chin and well and he's no marvel but his defensive subtleties are professional.

Margarito takes the steam off of punches. Kind of like Andrade. His defense is very underrated. Mosley may score points by hitting him but those shots wont hurt Marg.

He smothers people very well, a pressure fighter peaking in his 16th professional year. Something has protected his body.

Sometimes people don't understand how picking off shots with the gloves or deflecting the power of incoming shots is defense.

But will applaud Winky using his forearms.

Now of course Margarito isn't a sidestepper or a ducking and dodging genius, but his defense is more effective than he gets credit for.

Margarito's defense on the outside is ok, but when he let's his hands go, he's kinda slow and sometimes wide, and always wide open up top. Shane will take advantage.

Its all part of what makes it so fun to watch him though.

i disagree about margarito's speed and defense. margarito is slow as hell and margarito's defense is to block with his head.

also margarito was jogging towards cotto because he knew he was behind and had to go for th KO.

i agree w/ the prediction though. it'll be a close fight either way, moreso for margarito.
