sometimes all the debate over purse splits makes me want the fight to be scrapped and both fighters just move on and look for separate opponents

hatton can fight bradley or witter

and PAC can fight JMM a 3rd time or go on his suicide mission against margarito....

however, when i read how people give PAC's accomplishments a rear-view opinion and disregard the BIGGER fighters that he's slayed, i pray that the fight pushes thru

just to see the SAME posters **** on hatton...

Totally agree, pac-man is the No1 P4P in the world he has the second best resume in boxing today, he is a great fighter.

I don't think that because of his last two fights i think that because of the 20 before that.

Pacquiao isn't afraid. He's just trying to get as much money as he can. He's in a high position in boxing. He's #1 P4P and has been fighting all his life. He even said he doesn't plan to fight much longer. Why not try to make as much as he can while he's in it?

            Pacman shud accept 50-50

If pac man wants say 60-40, he shud get 60-40 fro the worlwide ppv buys excluding britain. Hatton shud be entitled to at least a 70-30 split in England. Hatton v mayweather was a much bigger fight ppv wise than dela hoya v pacman when u include britains million+ buys.

50-50 is fair since hatton brings more money to the table but pacman is pound for pound. T%he reason floyd got 60-40 was cause he was p4p king and also involved in the highest grossing fight in boxing history with dela hoya.

so pacman sign the contract and lets see a good fight and let the best man win.

Its unrealistic for people to think because he beat a zombie in Oscar....that he can move up to 140....and beat the best fighter in the divison in their prime.....

It makes more sense for him to fight Floyd and get paid..get his ass kicked..then can say well hey Floyd is the best in the world and I did my best..........

Get your ass beat vs. Hatton and there is no Floyd fight......

Fight Floyd lose make millions.then you can still fight Hatton at 140.

Atleast thats what I think anyway.

              Thoughts?
I dont think he's afraid. but your are right he is going to loose against hatton cause thats not his weight. And I hate now that manny beat dlh they think he could fight at ww its just ridiculous

BHop. if you followed more than one fighter and read threads on anyone other than Pac-man you would have seen me say this 10 times this week alone.

                  that's open for debate hammer....

                  Hopkins significant wins: tito,DLH,pavlik,tarver

with exception of tarver, his most notable wins have come against fighters moving up to fight him

pacquiao significant wins: MAB 2x, Morales 2x, Marquez, DLH, Larios

with the exception of larios, him most notable wins have come as HE moved up in weight

Bhop has only been beaten comfortably once by a guy who will be top 50 all time P4P, both Taylor and the Calzaghe figths where very close.

                    Significant wins

                    Glen Johnson (32-0)
                    Felix Trinidad (40-0)
                    Will Joppy
ODLH (not the shot version either)
                    Eastman
                    Tarver
                    Wright
                    Pavlik

20 defences at MW, P4P no4 at 43, never been on the floor.

It's not just that it's those great wins, those guys went on to achive great things afterwards, without taking anything from pacman on JMM can said to have carried on after the Pacman fights because Barerra and Morales where very much at the end of their careers.

thats being HUGELY picky but that how you are when you get down to the top two resumes in the business and that fine margin makes BHop's in my opinion the best and pacmans the second.

don't worry BHop will have retired by 2010 and if Pac-man stops acting like an ass he can add Hatton UD to his aswell.

this particular discussion would lead to at least another 4 pages before we can come to a middle ground...and im about to wrap it up here at work within the next 30mins or so...lets have a raincheck on this talk for next week shall we fight fan?

but on a final note, i do agree that of all active fighters, PAC is at # 2...but that's behind Evander....peace
