It's my understanding that in their first fight, MAB was firmly in his "Prime" going up against a "One-dimensional" and less talented Pacman but was severely mauled by him. Looking at this, I think a "Prime" Pacman would make a total and complete mess of MAB. JAT

marco wasnt prepared for that fight at all he had all kinds of problems in training camp with the steel plate in his head coming out and the fire. on top of all that he did not know how good manny was. he was simply not prepared.
when he finnally got his rematch he was out of his prime although he still did better but he was better prepared. i think prime for prime morales and barrera are just a little better than marquez and pacqua.

Barrera was only slightly past his prime in 2003, ranked in the top 5 p4p, and viewed around boxing as being as good (or pretty damn close) as ever, only in a different way (a more patient boxer whose aggression was more controlled). Sort of like how Pacquiao is viewed now in the sense that he's older and had a lot of fights after starting very young, and not the same attacking machine as he used to be, but more patient, deliberate, and smart than before.
