P4P salvador's skills were tremendous, the fact that the professor (as pointed out by others in the thread) hit him with all he had only to see sanchez just walk him down, honestly, the pac of today still squares up, the pac of today still doesnt like it to the body, the pac of today gets a bit fatigued in the later rounds of his recent fights (marquez, late in the diaz fight, pac was looking a bit winded but diaz couldnt take advantage).
The pac of today is still the same pac who fought marquez, judging by what i saw against marquez, pac gets his ass handed to him by sanchez, because sanchez could take a punch and i dont think pac could take it getting broke down by him a full 12-15 rounds.Originally posted by El Jesus View PostFirst of all, Pac has carried his power against oppnents who have stood there to be hit and are nowhere near their prime, in diaz case, he was the worst beltholder in the division. Second of all, Sanchez fought in a different era, you had more legit fighters fighting in one weight class, plus a couple less weight classes, so there was less reason to just jump up and down. Honestly, pac had one fight at 135 and another at 147, neither opponent was in their prime, both opponents practically stood there to be hit, neither is what sanchez would do. Im being serious, moving up in weight or not, thats like saying "Bernard hopkins beats ray robinson at lightheavy". Maybe, but Pacs best weight was 126/130. These fights at 135 havent shown me much other than guys who are past it, pac beats with ease. I may sound harsh, but this is an alltime great who had an iron chin and would just keep coming, and Manny doesnt like it to the body, and manny still squares up when he unloads and sanchez would pick up on that and adjust and break him.
but you are mistaken if you think that PAC has not improved from when he faced marquez and he still squares up to throw a punch, and NO Pacs best weight is NO longer at 126/130 ...
PAC fighting legends in Marco, Erik and Juan Manuel, different set of skills and strength, this experience tremendously helped Manny to learn from them and let him evolve to a better fighter and I would say that your suggestion that PAC is no different from the one who fought Marquez is HIGHLY UNINFORMED!
I agree SAL is an All Time Great but PAC is also on his way to All Time Greatness himself, so its not really absurd to have discussions on how they will fair against each other at different weights...
SAL would have probably jumped weight classes if he lived longer...
