Very well said. Bless Pacquio's heart but he aint no Sugar Ray Leonard. Not only was he a beast physically, he had GREAT ring generalship, he defeated the great Roberto Duran MENTALLY (the type of mental pressure ALI would press on his opponents), and he was the bigger guy at 5'10 defeating the reinning middleweight championship Hagler.

No comparsion, he might even embarrase Pretty Boy Floyd. With that said, you don't know until both fighters step in the ring. Did Leonard fight better opponents? Of course, that also made him step up his skill and mental determination. If Floyd belonged to the 80s, who knew how great he could be.

Floyd is in a strange position. He has the opportunity to fight more DANGEROUS fighters, but not more skillful fighters. Like I have said before, in my eyes SRL is an ATG and PBF is a hall of famer. In order for Floyd to secure his legacy as an ATG he needs to defeat Miguel Angel Cotto, and if it is close defeat him in a rematch, AND defeat Pac Man (which I think he does pretty handly)

U make sum excellent points, who knows how Floyd would fair had he competed in the enviroment that SRL and the other late 70's and 80's greats did. I think hes too quick for an excellent, methodical but comparitively slow Cotto and posively too ring smart for Pacman but whether he could do the same to Hearns and Leornard, who knows. Im not sure.

It would be very competitive, but Leonard by UD or SD. He is bigger, punches harder, quicker hands (I think). And if Floyd could get the best of him in a boxing match, Leonard could turn it into a fight. Though I doubt Floyd would really outbox him.

Leonard beats him, the only advantage Mayweather has against Leonard is defense and Leonard would find a way around that, Leonard by decision.
