Marg can take punches at 154 but he won't be elite at 154. at 160 he's a B- to C Class fighter and gets KTFO by the likes of Pavlik and Abraham.

But he surged late in both fights after taking their best shots early. Against williams his shots were stronger and harder which won him 5 of the last 6 rounds and Tony looked less the worse for wear at the end of that fight. In the Santos fight Santos was really laboring in the later rounds and Tony had really stormed his way back into the fight the same way he did against Cotto. So if you ask me in both fights margarito still looked physically stronger especially compared to williams who as big as he is seems to be too much of a finesse fighter.

I agree in those fights he started slow, and did start to pick it up later in the fights.

Also just stating that he never really did enough to do what he did to Cotto, which was break his will, and I think its because he's not able to impose his will on these bigger guys in the later rounds, where he did it to Cotto.

And at 170 pavlik gets beat by a 43 year old man and your point is?

Every fighter that fights in the welterweight division would most likely get knocked out by pavlik so thanks for wasting everyones time with a ****ing obvious post. For you next earth shattering post are you gonna tell me waters wet and the sky is blue??

I never seen a thread about Margarito's chin.

                This is the first one.

Bro, you're out your mind. No one talks about Tony's chin.

Tony was staggered in the second Santos fight, no doubt about it. It doesn't take a big puncher to KO someone. A well timed punched can stagger and end anyone on their best day. Santos landed a punch on the forehead of Tony, and made his brain rattle, so he couldn't maintain balance. Those forehead shots are deadly. Ask Curtis Stevens.

Bro, if you know boxing, then you should know that styles make fights. You can have all the power you want, but if you utilize lateral movement, like B-Hop did with Pavlik, then his power can be neutralized!

Just because fighters move up in weight doesn't mean they're prone to getting knocked out, but we will never know. You will never know how Tony's chin will hold up against Pavlik. Pavlik Vs Tony would favor Pavlik IMO. I don't wanna get TO detailed about it. You should know why Pavlik wins that fight at 160 or whatever.

Even if Santos staggered Tony (which he didn't) it's a stagger not a knock down or knockout and why the **** is that even a ****ing argument. We are talking about Margaito getting Knocked off balance now?

And if this is the only thread then you must be blind and unable to read.

Why are we talking Pavlik vs Margarito? Might as well start talking Margarito vs Valuev while we are at it.
