Why is Shane Mosley considered "GREAT"? IMO he should never use "Sugar" again!!!

    Why is Shane Mosley considered "GREAT"? IMO he should never use "Sugar" again!!!

    He is a great athlete with great speed and decent power but he never really did anything GREAT. He is FAR from a GREAT fighter.

    I mean the guy lost 2 times a piece to Winky and Vernon. A guy who was on Roids to beat oscar. A guy who hasnt had a big win since June of 2000.

    He beat Oscar the fist time. Beat some bums. Beat a guy who was not even close of what he once was in Vargas and Mosley was losing or had a draw in the first fight before they stopped it. Then beat Oscar on Roids which EVERYONE NOWS HE LOST. He lost to Oscar with ROIDS. What a damn shame. Lost to Cotto. WTF, and he is GREAT? I hardly consider him good. He is an upper echelon gate keeper. That is it.

    The dude is the meaning Over Rated.

    Why do people think he is so good?

    I think he is proclaimed great because he is exciting and is always willing to go out on his shield. He always fights the best, and when he loses he takes the rematch (don't know what the deal was with Cotto though). But to say he isn't even good or that he is a gatekeeper is going overboard.

      Shane at LW was almost unbeatable, but he had no business fighting at 154. There's no shame in losing to a prime, undefeated Vernon Forrest two weight classes above your best.

          Hell No. Shane fought over rated tomato cans... He had some decent win at 135 but nothing special. He naturally grew bigger and stronger ( I dont know about the NATURALLY part). He had to move up. He is and over rated good name. He NEVER won any BIG FIGHTS except for Oscar 1. Winky and Vernon are good and maybe even a little bit better than good, but noether is GREAT.

          Shane was like a used car salesman. He made his wins look better than then they were and the negatives almost obsolete.

          Shane is no where near GREAT.

            if he had no business at 154 you could say he had none at 135 either...he drained to make 135...to answer the topic he is considered great because he beat prime oscar, throws fast combos, and always gives exciting fights.....

                Mosley is great!!he ruled 135 with an iron fist jumped up 2 classes to outhustle DLH,lost to Forest and Winky,fought them both again!!fought a hell of a fight against a young lion in Cotto,beat the bigger Vargas twice,had a sensational knockout against Mayorga,an has the corazon to step up and fight the 2nd baddest welterweight on the planet in the TIJUANA TORNADO and u think that aint great!!U must be a mayweather fan!!dodge everyone and claim to be the best!!

                  That's what I am saying. I think people are just pissed about this steroid issue, especially DLH fans.
