Floyd's lack-luster performance gave Hatton the balls to fight Floyd and now that fight is part of the reason Team Pacman is willing to take the fight; along with Floyd being older and inactive.
I highly doubt Freddie would have put Manny in their with the younger version of Floyd, but like Team Hatton, will Team Pacman be in for a surprise?
First: let's see if this fight is even made.
manny also has like 15 or so more fights and has been in tougher fights.
one could argue manny's ring age is older than floyd.
you're too anti-pacquiao , uncle benny.

Young Floyd: Saying he was much better and Freddie would have not called out that version, just like he would have never fought the Oscar that fought Shane the first time at 147. It's all about "timing."
Let me see Pac fight Margarito and Cotto. It should be easy: Arum has control of them. Considering Pac just fought at 147 and weighs the same as Floyd, all is well for him to fight those two. Cotto should be a little easier now after being beat up by Margarito.
Don't ever compare Pac to Floyd who didn't fight a threat and ducked everyone for a Shot oscar and a smaller Hatton.Last edited by MakeDamnSure; 12-17-2008, 06:55 AM.

Manny has taken more punishment; this is true, but Floyd is also worn torn from years of training with the Mayweather family; it's not all about what happens inside the ring. Plus, bad hands and a possible other ailments doesn't help.
And most important for a fighter: where they are mentally. Pac has this advantage.
It's certain posters that can't read properly and want to believe I like Floyd more than any fighter and/or hate Pac that prevents them from reading the post properly. If they would read what I wrote properly and remember events without a clouded mind; they would understand my position.
we can all be guilty of this of course.

When Mayweather was at 130-135, Pac was at 115-118..

Baldomir was the lineal Champion so he had to go after him or people would say he wasn't "The Real Champion." They did this to him with Hatton at 140 even though he called Ricky out twice and it was Ricky that said "NO"; Twice.
He wanted Oscar since he first turned Pro and that was the ultimate Goal.
What I didn't like at 147 was that he fought Mitchell and Judah; they were two wasted fights...more so Mitchell.
The last part: again, I'm talking about "Timing": If Floyd was in his prime right now, in his youth where he fought better and was active; Freddy would not put Manny against him...nor would he if Oscar was that same Oscar that fought at 147 against Shane.
Understand NOW or do you want me to continue to help you understand a simple topic of timing?

That's only an IF AND WHAT.. Timing? No timing because Pacquiao started at 108. Pacquiao was making a debut at 122 while Oscar was already 154.. Yeah 10 losses Baldomir? The fact will never change that Floyd clearly ducked Cotto and Margarito for De La Hoya. What the heck before Floyd retires he wants a De La Hoya rematch again instead of fighting Margarito or Cotto. What a coward.

Although I'm a Pacman fan, I feel you bro. Arguing is all good, but being called names is like admitting defeat. Stay true and argue with sense, like what you've been doing, and don't stoop to their level...
