I'm a fan of these two and I admire and respect both of them a lot, but I feel that Pacquiao has carried the mantle of P4P #1 better. He leaves little room for doubt even if Floyd is perceived to be the more gifted boxer.

Pac. He may have beaten old guys, but they are still better then alot of who Floyd fought. He also doesnt have the natural ability Floyd has, so he has to work harder for it. Plus Pac is a nice guy. Never hurts.

These threads certainly never have a biased slant, do they?

Both of them deserve respect. Mayweather has an underated resume at 130...Only if you knew

But as we all know...Mayweather's hate comes from having a big mouth

Yeah they are. Hopefully, Mayweather gets insulted enough to the point of unretiring.

thats because he is liked, thus he is perceived to have taken more risks when in reality, skipping humberto soto, joan guzman, edwin valero, juan diaz, nate campbell etc arent a big deal. While the DLH fight was for money and i understand that, the david diaz fight i thought would solidify his potential run at 135, instead what we get are "megafights" that are winnable as opposed to actually clearing a division, this sounds ALOT like another former p4p champ.

Dude, i'd rather see Pacman face dela HOya, Hatton, Mayweather and JMM for the third time than see him face Soto, Guzman, Valero or Campbell. He dumped them to face bigger guys in bigger fights.

This is exactly what mayweather did. There is no difference between their buisness desicions other than style and the flamboyant nature of mayweather in contrast to pacman. Mayweather did the exact same thing, the difference was that at 130/135 mayweather did what he could, at 140 that division was hurt by the fact that ricky hatton wouldnt fight mayweather, at 147 mayweather did what pac is doing, bigger fights against bigger opposition while selecting his fights carefully and not fighting most of the top welters in the division. Does pac plan on fighting ANY of the top contenders from the said divisions and clean then out? No. Megafights at catchweights, thats it.

The point is that mayweather gets alot of BS for not fighting the top guys within his division, Pac isnt going to do that neither, but because of the way they fight and their additudes in the ring, the perception changes. "Well pac is trying to knock guys out, may fights like a *****" etc is what comes to mind.

Change Morales, Barrera, Marquez and DLH to Guzman, Valero and Diaz on his resume, Pac wouldn't even be a top 10 P4P.. You're a comedian.. In short a Sore Loser.. Barrera was the lineal champ, Marquez was the lineal champ, Valero and Guzman didn't do **** to earn a shot like Cotto and Margarito did. You're a sore loser.. A big time crybaby.!
