Didnt Oscar fly all the way to Puerto Rico to ask for a rematch? It was reported back in 2000 all over the news that The Trinidads didn't want to give Oscar the rematch after Oscar outclassed Trinidad.

De la hoya will still fight, not at lower weight but on middle weight or supper middle weight. He'll be back, believe me. He was just so drained and dehydrated when he fought Pacquiao. Perhaps his trainer haven't done anything but just gave de la hoya ****** advice, unlike Mayweather Sr., full of tools, thinking tools how to beat someone.

I just think he has made his money, had his big fights and is happy with that. He just doesn't seem to have that incredible hunger that he used to.
