Felix Trinidad Sr. Says De La Hoya Should Walk Away

Felix Trinidad Sr, father and trainer of former three-division champion Felix "Tito" Trinidad, says Oscar De La Hoya should not look for other fights and simply walk away. He doesn't want to tell De La Hoya what to do. He says the ultimate decision is a personal one and only De La Hoya can make the final call on retirement. [details]

Maybe you should have a chat with your son while you are at it.

Didnt Oscar fly all the way to Puerto Rico to ask for a rematch? It was reported back in 2000 all over the news that The Trinidads didn't want to give Oscar the rematch after Oscar outclassed Trinidad.

De la hoya will still fight, not at lower weight but on middle weight or supper middle weight. He'll be back, believe me. He was just so drained and dehydrated when he fought Pacquiao. Perhaps his trainer haven't done anything but just gave de la hoya ****** advice, unlike Mayweather Sr., full of tools, thinking tools how to beat someone.

If he fights again it will be at 154. That is Oscar's weight class now.

I just wanna see him make MW, but he doesn't even seem dedicated enough to do that. He looked soft in against Jones.

I just think he has made his money, had his big fights and is happy with that. He just doesn't seem to have that incredible hunger that he used to.
