Several people predicted decision wins for Mosley, very few. But not many people thought a KO was possible. Actually, A KO was laughable from the comments.

if you can't remember the post-fight stuff, i'll upload for you in a bit, bro. Tony gave Shane his props and didn't look for an excuse.

i think the subsequent mention of his issues with weight was more an honest statement of where he was at than an excuse for his loss. it's testified by those who were in his camp (one of whom, Earnest, is around here) that Tony struggled to get on weight for that one. it showed some in his physique, too, which looked somewhat less robust, more withered, than usual.

i love Tony, but i'd never use any of those circumstances to deduct credit from Shane. he fought a tremendous and spectacular fight and would've beaten Tony regardless. he just knew how to beat the man.

one of the best examples of finisher's instinct, one of the iciest exhibitions of show-closing ability, that we've seen in recent times, too. iconic KO - who can forget Shane frowning at the inconveniently loose tape on his glove before delivering the ending salvos, or Tony smiling like a martyr facing death while beginning to climb courageously to his feet even after being literally lifted off them by the force of Mosley's thunderous combination punching.

Margarito is a brave man, to paraphrase George Foreman.

people fell for the invincible chin myth which pops up with a fighter from time to time. truth is, no chin is invincible, no matter how sturdy.
