yeah, but have you ever taken into account how intelligent floyd could be when pac's punches are coming at him from all angles? Floyd's intelligence and defense will be much of a factor when he faces fighters with slow handspeed and slow footwork and who fights at a slow pace like he does. Pac is neither of those. Floyd will be so busy trying not to get hit, and believe you me, pac will hit him a lot, that he won't be able to counter. And what happens when floyd can't counter, he will lose almost all of the rounds because we know that pac will throw punches for the whole twelve rounds. The only way floyd can win is if he can counter pac, and i don't see that happening a lot. Floyd will never take the initiative against pac early on because pac's counterpunching is underrated. If you look at the de la hoya fight, one of the main reasons why de la hoya doesn't throw his jab a lot is because almost everytime he throws it, pac counters him with an overhand right hook which almost never misses as it arrives before de la hoya has time to pull his left back. Hell, pac is so quick it amost arrives at the same time de la hoya's jab does. So, it's a given that floyd will never take the initiative in offense in the early rounds. He'll be waiting to counter pac. What happens? When he loses almost all of the early rounds and sees his 0 flying away, he will be forced to attack pac. When he does that, he will be knocked the **** out. There is no comparison between pac's and floyd's offense. Because he has the stronger punch and, in my estimation, the faster handspeed, pac will win almost all the exchanges. Take note of this, if and when floyd man's up to fight pac, he will be ktfo. I doubt this will happen, though. I think if pac massacres hatton, floyd will chicken out and demand so much money so that the fight will never happen.

Hatton is as tough as any boxer Floyd has faced and Mayweather had Hatton rocked multiple times before he hit the ring post. PBF may not be the hardest puncher at WW but he can hit. I like Pacman, especially after Dela Hoya but no way is Manny just walking through PBF punches. If Dela Hoya could have countered it may have been a different fight. Not saying he would have won. PBF will counter the hell out of Manny. Then we will see how good he really is.

I must state first of all I am no fan of Floyd Mayweather Jr. I think he is a pussbag of the highest order. But do you all seriously think Manny could beat him? Are you fugging kidding me? Manny looked GREAT against a fighter who wasn't trhowing any punches, who's reflexes were gone. Floyd has been in the gym since he "retired". And Manny still hasnt been hit by a junior welterweight/welterweight. And he is going to get hit by Mayweather.

Hatton has been given a steady dose of Mayweather potshots in the previous rounds. He was already groggy when Mayweather went on the attack mode. The left hook that KO'ed Hatton came when Hatton was lunging forward, so it was not so much the power of Mayweather's punch as much as Hatton's forward momentum and the accumulation of punches that spelled his doom. The effect of Floyd's left hook on Hatton was so much like Casamayor's punch that KO'ed Katsidis. Katsidis was also lunging forward on that one.

A comparison of Mayweather's and Pac's punch power? In the final rounds of de la Hoya-Mayweather, Floyd was hitting Oscar in the face so much. What was the result? No lumps on Oscar's face whatsoever. De la Hoya-Pacquiao? Pac reddened Oscar's face with the first two punches that connected and bloodied his nose at the end of round 1. No comparison here. Only 1 Pacquiao punch would equalize 4 of Floyd's. Go figure.

I hear you, but Oscar was a year and a half older and weight drained. If manny fought the De la Hoya Floyd fought no way he would have looked that good. Steve Forbes also lumped up De la Hoya's face...and no way does he hit harder than PBF. I am not saying PBF if a KO king above 140 but when he hits you, you think about it. De la Hoya stopped throwing the jab around rd 7 when he fought PBF because he was tired of getting countered. All I am saying is Manny has not been countered by someone with Mayweather's power. Remember Mayweather has been fighting bigger men than Manny. When he fough someone his size or smaller he knocks them out or beats that ass badly.

I don't see what everyone is getting so hyped up about. He is still ducking the Margarito, Williams, and Cotto, the 3 best welterweights right now. I gave DLH no sympathy when he lost because he was picking on the smaller man. This is gonna be what... Floyd's 5th fight at welterweight. How many real welters has he fought? 0 Margarito is 8-1 against Ring ****zine's ranked welterweights. I seriously hope Pac fights Hatton instead and they make a legit Floyd fight.
