People never believe me but without Larry's merciless grilling alot of big fights never would have happened. he had a knack for putting fighters who hid on the ****ing spot!       Merchants genius will be sorely missed when he passes and then everyone will be gushing over him.

      He may not be able to score a fight sometimes, but he knows what hes talking about.

          He doesn't give props to the Klitschkos. He once said "the heavyweight division would be better off without the Klitschkos"

          He was going on about how Calzaghe was fighting "old" Roy Jones, yet never mentioned that Phillips was "old", the same age as Jones.

          He goes on about the Klitschkos' height advantage over some of their opponents, yet never mentioned tonight that Williams is 7" taller and has a 14" reach advantage over old Verno.

                I'd rather listen to Merchant(until he tells one of his fairytales at the end of each broadcast). Kellerman was on Paul's **** far too much.

                  The only tow elite fighters that Paul has faced were Tony and Quintana, the Tony decision was close, the Quintana loss was wide, the Quintana win was huge. Evrybody else he's fought has been below average. Guy's got skills, size, heart and chin, no doubt about it, but everybody else on his resume is below average.

                    the reason why he said the HW division is better off w/o the Klits is because they won't fight each other.

                    Phillips has never been KTFO 2x in a row.

                    williams is tall but he doesn't fight tall.

                      No, he said that when neither had a title after Wlad defeated Sam Peter. He said he wanted Peter to win because the heavyweight division would be "better off without one of the Klitschkos" - it had nothing to do with them fighting each other at all.
