Only haters think Calzaghe is not an ATG

Look at this video, this is a Prime Jeff Lacy, not a shell of the fighter who lost to Taylor last week.

Regardless how good Lacy is or how overrated he was, you can beat a fighter and then you can do this to one. Taylor didn't beat a shot Lacy nearly as badly as Calzaghe beat this Lacy.

    Ass whooping.

Like I said before, I said Lacy was overrated when he was starting to be compared to a young Tyson, but he was considered a threat at 168, and Joe was the first to expose him.

Lacy and Kessler are Joe's biggest wins.

I wouldn't go too far either: Grant was hailed by the American promotion machine and he was exposed by Lewis. He amounted to nothing after-wards. Lacy hasn't done much since.

If one fight can do it, remember, the Roy Jones Jr. "Shot" statement is now in full play.

I thought it was a great display of Joe, but I also knew it was bound to happen with Lacy...just not that bad...that surprised me.

Joe's going into the Hall of Fame; don't worry.

Calzaghe had decent hand speed and good footwork, absolutely prototypical of the type of fighter needed to beat the lumbering, heavy handed Lacy and hand him his first loss.

The win over Kessler was a good win, although Kessler is unproven against American fighters such as Taylor (who I think would give him a bag of trouble).

Calzaghe's two other most noticeable wins include a decision over a completely gunshy 40 year old Roy Jones who was knocked clean out by Glen Johnson (the same Johnson Calzaghe has ducked, what is is? 3 times now?...) and Antonio Tarver (who is was a good fighter, but no atg).

The other 'win' coming over Bernard Hopkins. I use 'win' because he barely squeaked past Hopkins and now suprisingly won't give Hopkins a rematch because the decision wasn't exactly clear.

I'm sorry but if Calzaghe had Johnson, Ottke, Taylor or some other middle/suppermiddle/lightheavy NAMES on his resume I'd be more supportive of it.

I'm a Calzaghe fan and I think his fights are pretty good to watch. However calling him an atg is a joke imo. He is like Mayweather - someone would probably would have beaten everyone/almost everyone if only they'd got the fights!!!!!

Why are you so quick to post a negative response to every positive thread about Calzaghe?

What motivates your need to discredit Joe?

lol, beating Roy Jones 119-109 is not a great win considering GJ and AT knocked Roy clean out years ago.

calzaghe is a great fighter but he is NOT an ATG fighter.

In 20 years time people will remember Hatton and will have forgotten about Calzaghe, said but true.
