When has HBO ever been known to have astute boxing knowledge? They get twice as many things wrong as they get things right.
They seem to focus more on a fighter's personal routines than his actual career.

And they don't pause to filter themselves. They always speak their minds and are very knowledgable.

I was like the only guy on here talking about what a douchebag Max Kellerman is, and supporting my claim that Larry Merchant is the best commentator HBO has, And all I got was a bunch of "Larry is a useless drunk" posts, lol.

Well I feel Kellerman doesn't do bad on a smaller scale. When he's on these big PPV events, it seems like he gets carried away with the wrong ****. Larry has some good post interviews but he doesn't bring too too much when commentating. He'll occasionally say a word or 2 when Lamply or Steward let him in. What he says either fall as outright crazy talk or things that make sense to the non hardcore boxing viewer. His scorecard is always usually on the side of the fan. He'll give even rounds, not score a KD if he doesn't feel it should have, etc. I dunno, I don't care but last night they did all talk a lot of nonsense without doing any actual blow by blows.Comment
