anyone bring up that Berto is a Haymon fighter and Bob likes to use that as an excuse why his fighters wont fight Haymon managed fighters?

i hear you tyde, I'm not saying Cotto cant win because thats crazy. he's a monster, i just see what happens win or lose. if Cotto wins then we get a rematch ( if Margarito beats Mosley) but if he loses then we got serious trouble. maybe Cotto-Mosley II in june?? I dont knoe but I hope Cotto does win. thats my boy.

Hey man if you say Cotto is your boy and all that, you have to understand that Berto isnt as Cotto's level!!!! Maybe he will one day, but what has Berto done in his career to consider him a Great Fighter?? Im not saying it will be a easy fight but man Cotto will return hungry for wins and money... he will not lose to this kid, it will be a late round KO, if the fight happens the KO is inminent...

pollo I know that Berto isnt on Cottos level, but Margarito isnt on Cottos level either and he lost. do you get what im saying?? theres 2 kind of fans, ones that are realstic and ones that are not. was I surprise when Margarito beat Cotto?? of course not because Cotto had never fought going backwards or been pressured. so to say that Berto doesnt have a shot is crazy, because he's hella fast, throws great uppercuts(which killed Cotto against Margarito)and has been wating for a great fight. yeah Cotto is my boy but im also a realistic fan not 1 that thinks he was going to go undefeated, but I do hope he wins. and Bob Arum can suck the fat 1, Margarito should have took the rematch with Williams, I dont want to hear aboput Mangers and sh it. step it up Arum!!! but I do want to see Cotto-Margarito II so I wont sweat him that much.

First of all, Cotto fighting backwards against Margo wasn't the reason he lost the fight... he was dominating it until he got tired and the well you know what happened... Margo punches are hard as hell, and breathing trough your mouth is hard to keep the pace. Ok, Margo won that fight, I was surprised but I'm not a blind fan I knew Margo was bigger, stronger and took more punches than Cotto even if Miguel was and is the more talented fighter. Now if Cotto survived Margo's punches and I say survived because he wasn't KTFO, he took a knee. He will survive Berto who doen't have Margo's power and doesn't take the kind of punches Tony does. It's going to be a very close fight at the beggining but Berto wont take Cotto's punches for long and will get KO'ed in the late rounds remember Berto is fast and can move but he aint no Calderon, Cotto will catch him and make him pay

thats the point of this fight tho.....if cotto wins, he beats a young, inexperienced, but UNDEFEATED, CHAMPION....that sets up nicely for the rematch w/ margs.....

if cotto loses, then that pretty much says he's damaged goods, and doesn't belong in a rematch w/ margs....


believe it or not, this fight makes sense, and is probably necessary in answering a lot of unanswered questions about cotto's ability to bounce back...like i said, i understand why cotto would want this fight, but im scratching my head on why berto would.....cotto is a big step up from forbes.

pollo he got tired because he was backing up the whole fight, he prpbably went like 3 miles just going backwards, thats why he got tired.plus he's nevered had to actually box anybody before, just didnt have a gameplan. but anybody else would've got KO with those punches Cotto was throwing. the 1 problem with me about Cotto is his defense( which still isnt good in my eyes, e****ally getting hit with margaritos wide and slow a ss punches) so when the punches are coming in 3 times faster than Margaritos he will really have to adjust. but when Berto gets hit flush his a ss is going down. I think it can be classic, hopefully it goes down, maybe it's so good if Cotto wins then fights Margarito, maybe We'll have Cotto-Berto II late next year or Cotto-Margarito III or Cotto- Mosley II or Margarito-Clottey II or Margarito-Williams II....damn I love boxing. good stuff pollo, talk to you later im out.

alot of people are sleeping on berto...truth is i wouldnt be suprised if berto won by a descision. berto has 1 flaw that i have seen & being open while trading is it..
