I Really like Carlos, id root for him against anybody at WW besides Cotto.
Marg would stop him, Cotto has already owned him but against anybody else he has a decent chance - Shanes on the slide big time, Zab aint really that super no more, Cintron can be beaten, Berto is green - the list goes on man!
But me id put him in with Mosley preferably if im his manager, failing that Berto. I think he beats Shane at this point andd i make the Berto fight a 50/50 and thats a risk worth taking.

He could possibly clean up at 154 not sure didnt see how he looked last nite, but the moneys at 147.

He DESERVES a Williams rematch, i mean whats the fluke - a 12 round boxing lesson or a 1st round blow out? To be fair to Punisher tho he seems like he has learned how to actually punch now and perhaps thats the difference in their 2 fights but Carlos deserves his rubbermatch!
If the fight comes off it will most likely be at 154 which will be to Williams' benifit

I could just as easily say Quintana had a bad day at the office in the second fight, or even Pavlik had a bad day at the office against Bhop. Most importantly Marg had a bad day at the office against Williams. As you can see this is a useless argument which goes on and on and on.

Exactly, Cotto was winning for the most part. But Quintana was boxing well, and keeping good movement around that huge ring. The real beating came in round 5, and that left hook must have really caused some damage.

Good for Quintana. I hope he gets back in the mix at WW.

Good win for "El Indio" but I still think he should fight a guy with a positive record. This was just a confidence booster. Then if he beats that X guy, he should fight Berto because Margo and Cotto would kill him and I dont think Quintana- Williams III is going to happen...

Quintana is a very talented fighter. People seem to forget that he schooled Williams the first time they fought. He was KOd in 1 in the rematch but now hes doing what he has to do to get back. Getting back in the win column. I think Williams should give him a rematch, nobody else wants to fight him anyway and Quintana is calling him out. Not to mention they are 1-1 against each other so lets settle it.

On the underard of Quintana's fight last night, my boy Jose Peralta from my hometown fought. He won by TKO in the first round. Hes 4-0 now and he fighting again on November 1st already! He will be fighting in Nicaragua on November 1st. Pretty good prospect he used to kill everyone at my gym with his left hook to the body. I havent seen him since his pro career started though.

edit, sorry it wasnt on the Quintana undercard lol I thought it was. It was on the same card as Luis Del Valle's 4th fght. Both were very good amateurs, Del Valle accomplished a lot more though. Collision course?

I forgot about Clottey. A fight with Clottey would be a very interesting style clash. In fact I'd love to see that fight.

The Quintana fight wasnt a demolition. You can argue it was an even fight going into the 5th, but at the end of the 4th you could see the fight turning.

Everyone predicted Quintana would do well early. Cotto was slowly imposing his will and finished the fight a lot quicker than people thought. Quintana hung in there for a little while but Cotto was just getting going where as Quintana was breaking down. Quintana cant hang with Cotto for 12 rounds. If anything I was impressed with how Cotto boxed with Quintana the first few rounds he showed good skills againstr a very good technical fighter and slick southpaw. Cotto-Quintana is one of my favorite fights, im a huge fan of both.

Quintana can hang with the whole welterweight division besides Cotto in my opinion. If he could keep Williams off him for 12 the first time,I think he could do the same with Margarito possibly. He just cant with Cotto becase Cotto was too fast and well rounded, the styles didnt mesh in his favor and styles make fights.
