yeah i agree, IF roy beats joe... which im gaining confidence every day...

i agree also but roy will not go for that. given the fact that he won their first fight and if he beats joe he would have a more ammo to add cause he could use the "i beat the guy you couldnt beat" angle. he would think he deserves a bigger cut cause of those factors

are you smoking??? roy NEVER beats tarver again.....tarver is in that man's head. period. even tho he hasn't looked worth a **** since he lost to b-hop, tarver will find a way to look good if he fought jones again....

chad dawson is just as fast as roy, throws combos, has good counter-punching skills, plus roy has a glass chin......dawson hits hard. he'll take jones's head off.....





i'm not talking about 2001-2002.....i'm talking about AFTER the wright fight. HOPKINS offered 60 to the winner to roy, and roy turned it down...that's when the calzaghe fight came off.....BOTH guys started negotiating with calzaghe after their **** fell through......roy was still the **** in 2001-02, so i could understand him wanting 60-40.....but after 3 losses in a row???



hopkins WASN'T in his prime when they fought tho........right now hopkins is the better fighter...so yea, roy SHOULD be worried. after all, who has roy fought since he lost those fights to johnson and tarver? who has hopkins fought? it's no denying.......

It was Roy that countered with 60-40 to the winner, not Hopkins.

Hopkins didn't respond.

And Roy wasn't in his prime when they fought the first time either.

The reason jones and calzaghe don't want any part of hopkins is because they know there is a good chance he could beat both of them good based on his last performance. If hopkins had been more aggressive against calzaghe, i'm pretty sure he would have won. Also, if hopkins is more agressive it gives the ability to control he pace of the fight. He got it all wrong for the calzaghe fight, although I did think he won that fight!

It was 8 rounds to 4... it isnt that he doesnt want that fight.. .its that the fight NEVER works out, and hes sick of talking about a fight, that ALWAYS fails in negotiations...

you're right......but I think the fight CAN get made in 2009. If Roy deals with Joe like many predict he will, then I don't see no other fight Roy can do and get paid besides a Calzaghe rematch. Both fighters have NO other options WORTH takin' at this stage.

I don't wanna see this fight........unless they both promise to walk off and never step back in the ring again win or lose.
