How about when Jack told Pavlik to "hit him in the ****ing nuts if ya have to" and the camera quickly goes to bernards corner.

He was right though. Kelly needed to feint and double the jab off of it. Lowes instructions were spot on. Kelly just wasn't executing.

What Lowe didn't do is tell Kelly why he was having problems executing.

He should have told him this.

"Kelly, I know he is taggin you with that right hand, you are gonna have to jab through it, and eventually he will stop throwing that thing."

"Your gonna have to suck up some shots to get your jab established Kelly."

It was obvious Kelly wasn't doubling the jab because he was worried about Hopkins coming over the top with the right hand.

Pavlik does not have to change trainers. He will have to change how he trains for a fight, and he may end up worse by taking away some of what got him to the top.

What he needs is at least someone else on his team, an assistant that can work off what Jack helps him with, but then another who can help him with footing and balance.

If Pavlik had better footing and balance, he would be much more rounded.

Yea, Loew wasn't giving good advice at all. If you listen to Richardson and then Loew, you noticed a huge difference. He just didn't know what the **** to do.

What a difference in class tonight in terms of both skill and conduct. Kelly's lack of skill and Jack Loew's lack class in instructing Kelly to foul Bernard and his actions after the final round. Jack Loew reminded me of John Ruiz' horrid trainer, Norman Stone.

Kelly, find a new trainer. Jack had no idea what was going on last night. He was no help to you. "You got to double your fu%kin' jab!"
what's wrong with that advice? doubling the jab is what Pavlik needed to do but he didn't do it for whatever reason. Loew kept on saying it because that's what Pavlik needed to do to offset Hopkin's rhythm.

I also think bhop should become a trainer. He has so much boxing knowledge I think he could help a lot of young fighters out.
I agree, Nat. Hopkins would make an excellent trainer.

Loew is useless. I never thought anything else.

Yeah, I noticed that too, what professionalism. He didn't have a clue, that's the only advise he had to offer his guy.

Pavlik's corner was right in what they were telling him. Like someone else said before Kelly just wasn't executing.

Pavlik needed more than a double jab to beat Hopkins. If Hopkins was getting past his single jab, he would have knocked him out if Kelly would have doubled it. He's too slow, it would have just given B-Hop more time to go over the top with a right and come back with a hook. Basic boxing. Hopkins is good at slipping the jab and countering, that's his game. Kelly was too slow to double pump that jab.

I've said this before, Jack Loew reminds me of that one coach in the movie Karate Kid. The sensei of Cobra Kai.. "Sweep the leg Johnny!"
