Cound't see Calzaghe given him a rematch, Maybe if Jones beat Calzaghe him and B-hop could get the rematch on that was ment to happen in 2002.

that's why Calzaghe must lose to RJJ because he will retire. If he loses he might fight again.

if calzaghe beats rjj, who else is there for calzaghe to fight? pavlik? after this? bernard would be the only viable option, considering the first fight was a SD, that alot of ppl think hopkins should've won.......add that to the fact hopkins is willing to go to england to fight him again, there's no reason for calzaghe not to take the rematch......IF he beats rjj........

but as a fan of calzaghe, i completely understand your concern......he wants NO PART of b-hop, especially after this............so i hope rjj does this country a service.....
Those who think that Hopkins won the Calzaghe fight are dreaming, or else strong, illogical Hopkins fans who wear blinkers. The judge wo scored for Hopkins was a poor judge, since Calzaghe won at very least 117 112. Hopkins did absolutely nothing for the last 7 rounds except pose, move around, try to gain breathing space by grimacing as if he'd been fouled and was "hurting BaaaaaD". Also try to get a punch off and dart out of the way at the very same time, he looked very amateurish at times, very much as in all his fights where he tries to mount attacks. I was even sorry for him at times, he looked so bad. He is really a defensive, reactionary, counter-puncher, and none of that crap he tries can make him any different. Facts are Facts and cannot be changed by seeing things through "rose coloured glasses".

Enzo would of ran outside in the middle of the night naked screaming YAHHHHHHHOOOOoooo
He would of been found next morning passed out in a barn with a whisky bottle next to him and some poor sheep with a sore arse laying there...
As long as it wasn't a sore "something else" neccessitating a trip to a dispensary, as they used to do in the good old Army days.........

With the Mosley knockout over Mayorga, the B-hop execution of Pavlik, all that left is the Hatton victory and the De la Hoya knockout of Pacquoia to make this the year the year of Golden Boy.

I would also love to see Hopkins fight Mayweather jr. I know its a fantasy match but hey, if oscar and pacman could fight, why not these two? If it happened, Hopkins would annihilate him and teach him to respect his elders. Good job B-Hop.

Yes styles do make fights, but then you seem to be naive as to this being the reason Hops schooled Pavlik, but ultimately couldn't Calzaghe and ultimately lost.

A fighter often looks better in a fight they hardly get hit, and win every single round hurting there opponent never looking like losing, compared with a SD where those things aren't true.

Joe Calzaghe prefers guys being aggressive and coming to him. This a basic widely known thing. Hence Hopkins wasn't and ultimately couldn't come forwards being aggressive as much with Joe as he could Kelly, whom is far more limited.

Hopkins has a supremely good boxing brain and he knows where his strengths and chances are. With Calzaghe he made it close by trying to avoid the pace, ruin Joe's boxing, keeping at distance or suddenly fighting close up on the inside, and not in between. Countering the many Calzaghe punches each of which presenting an opportunity. He did pretty well and made it damn close as a result, but ultimately Calzaghe was to resilient, quick, movement was better, boxing brain, feinting all of these things, which disable Hopkins looking as good as he could against Pavlik.
I see what your saying but Im not even talking about the boxing aspect. More so his endurance, the amount of punches he threw and his movement. He was more active in this "agressive" fight than any of his last few fights. Style make the fight and Pav made it an easy night but he looked different to me. Different than when he schooled Tarver. It just seemed like he knew he needed to pick his game up and that is his "new" way of doing things. "not wearing the seat belt" anymore..... letting go and taking chances.... Thats wasnt Hop before......
