If the fight continued Lewis would have knocked Vitali out. He was gaining momentum fast and Lewis was destroying that eye of Vitali. Lucky for Vitali they stopped the fight, otherwise Vitali would have lost an eye and you probably wouldn't be able to see him fight today.

He didn't win! He was winning on the scorecards but he didn't make it to the end of the 12 rounds due to the mess Lewis had made of his face. If anything, Vitali embarrassed himself by failing to beat Lewis who was a long way past his best and showed up for the fight in the worst shape of his career. Face facts mate, Vitali is good but on his best night, he couldn't beat Lewis on his worst night.

what i find funny is Vitali grabbing Lewis in the final round before the fight was stopped. He was literally trying to bear hug lewis to death everytime Lewis was connecting. Vitali was losing steam fast. In the last 2.00 of I think round 6 all he was doing was trying to grab Lewis and make it out the round while Lewis was continuing throwing punches and also caught Vitali with a vicious uppercut which from then on Vitali tried to hug lewis to death. He even hugged him so hard that Lewis was trying to break off it and they both almost fell because of Vitali. . Go watch it again and you'll know Im talking about. The last round before they stopped the fight.

Someone please describe fight for those that didn't see it. In particular how was Vitali's hand speed and stamina? How was his out put down the stretch and how was his reflexes??

I'm a Vitali fan, but he lost that fight, fair and square. Yes, he looked good against Lewis, gave him all he could handle and more, and it's possible (not at all certain) that he could've beaten Lewis had the cut not been opened (BY A PUNCH, not a headbut...worsened by Lewis' head, sure, but it was a punch that opened it), but the stoppage was justified, and he was on the losing end in that bout, period.
