Can Roy Jones really beat Joe Calzaghe

I mean Roy has been KOed twice and lost a total of what 3 fights in his last 5 all against the top guy in his division. Now he's coming off two victories over outmatched and outclassed smaller guys, and fighting undoubtly the most skilled and acclamained fighter in the sport right now... I mean damn just thinking about him loseing this hurts my heart but its a big possibilty.. whats yall thoughts?

I think your thoughts summed up Roy's chances pretty well.

He can beat Joe but I wouldn't bet on it. Jones* at his advanced age is a shell of his former self which was significantly better than Joe Calzaghe in my opinion. At this point, Joe is just better due to his work rate and his activeness in the ring. Jones yoyo dieting to make weight at various weight classes took a significant toll on his career.

**** i have confidence in Roy, but lets be real Joe Calzaghe just beat Benard Hopkins and Mikkel Kessler before that, put the two together and you just about have Roy Crafty with power tremendous countering skills and some good speed! The question is can that all out do Joe's workrate and skill and slappingspeed!

people who pick roy to beat him are nuts, roy is one of my fav fighters EVER but at this stage theres no way he can beat Calzaghe, if he goes 12 rounds he should be glad
Prime Jones would beat Joe though, easy

Short and simple explaination No, Calzaghe throws more punches then anyone Roy has fought. Calzaghe is a great pressure fighter. People keep saying if Calzaghe breaks his hands roy has a chance, people must not have known Calzaghe fought alot of the lacy fight with a broken hand. Calzaghe will keep throwing even if it hurts his hands.
