Andre Berto: A New Title, The Same Desire

Berto's better than his comp shows. The guy has some power and has been able to keep goin when he's had to go into late rds. Forbes will be a good test for him. Next year I wanna see him against the lower tier of the ranked WW's, like Cintron, Collazo, or Zab. He ain't ready for a Williams, Tony, or Clottey yet.

Berto should concentrate on getting better and fighting more.
He is ranked number 10 or 9 but Ring ****zine at 147 but ALL those guys ahead of him would beat him NO PROBLEM.....and some below him too.
He has very good boxing skills but doesnt have the experience yet to hang with the big boys.
Actually I see 140 being a better division for him...he is nothing at 147....yes he has the WBC belt but did he really earn it?

140? Guy comes into fights at 160+ pounds, he's a naturally stocky dude.

I think he loses to Margarito, Cotto, Clottey, and Williams right now, but he'd have a great shot against everyone else. Is he a true "world champ"? No, but there are a lot of title-holders that are questionable. At least he's exciting and skilled.

I agree that he needs to step up his competition and fight Judah/Quintana/Cintron, but he is no bum.
