Boxing should take this approach when fighters duck one another!

This is one thing that MMA definitely has over boxing. The top fighter are forced to fight one another! None of that picking and choosing easy paydays like in boxing.

Problem is in boxing once you reach that top level you can often chose who you want to fight regardless of an alphabet title. Like Barrera, Hamed etc did.

People can talk **** about Dana White all they want, but the truth is, he caters to the fans. He gives the fans the fights that they wanna see, and in return, they continue to tune in and purchase ppv's. In boxing, once these boxers reach the top where they can pick and choose, its almost as if they are saying "**** the fans, i wanna get paid"

You can not say that about all boxers.

But the ones that you can say it about are probably the ones you all would be acting like if put in that situation.

million for a big threat... <----------- least likely to be chosen.

4 million for the big name...instead of threat.

1 million now for a no name that sets me up for a 7 million big name in 6 months.....instead of threat.

Be serious.. once your families and kids are depending on you you'll make the best decision for them. point blank period. Just the truth. someone tell me otherwise.

That's fine, but then dont expect the fans who have lined your pockets with all those millions to continue to support, and pay to watch you.

But the point is.. the fans of those people who like them will still pay to see the mperson they like.

i don't find mayweather boring... and i never really cared for thunder "see how much i can take" gatti...

its those fans who are the fans of marg/cotto/casa/marquez (all 3) /vasquez/oscar/pacman/mayweather/dawson/jones/klitschko... who will keep supporting their fighter and be introduced to a new up and comer and continue to support the sport.

The base will just grow stronger because all the false fans and false support is being taken out.

The walls aren't closing in on boxing.. they are just being solidified

The mentality in boxing needs to change from a winner and loser situation to a mentality where both boxers can be viewed as 'winners' if they put on a very good show.
