This is really a very ****** post. Perhaps Calzaghe is not as good as a prime Jones, but that has nothing to do with Jones going up to heavyweight. Calzaghe simply does not have the kind of frame to carry HW weight, he's not particularly muscular, whereas Jones could, ergo he could go to HW and beat John Ruiz, but make no mistake, Jones was never a true HW and would have been destroyed by a good HW world champion like Lewis or Tyson.

As for whether Calzaghe is nothing special, I guess if you keep saying it it might come true eventually. Since he's such an average fighter though you'd think it would be one of the many, many other boxers at SMW and LHW who were holding both Ring belts simultaneously. It's funny that they aren't isn't it?

muppet! he is a great name to fight based on being one of best from the last 25 years! in that case calzaghe should line up tyson, de la hoya, etc. they are some of the best from the last 25 years. it makes no difference how good he WAS! he is operating in a division with two guys who have knocked him out without him avenging them (tarver and johnson) and then there is dawson too who beat johnson in his last fight. jones is miles away from being a genuine contender nowadays, that is why the fight is a joke! i hope jones wins, calzaghe will never shut the **** up about beating roy jones if he wins.

He's not hyping the fight. He's defending the fight. You have a **** fight on your hands when You have to defend it rather than hype it. Calzaghe has to talk up his opponent instead of talking about how he's gonna kick RJJ's ass.
