you can't. just because kelly is more offensive and actually goes for the ko more doesnt mean he hits harder, especially at 168+. pavlik seemed to lose his pop against taylor @ 164 and failed to ko him or even come close.
kessler is a counter puncher, a boxer puncher if you like and doesnt rely on his punch to win fights. just because lockett a natural 154 lbs bum got stopped in 3 rounds it doesnt make pavlik hit hard.
I can't prove it and that's the point. I have to go by what they give me, Kessler has big power but doesn't knock out as many people maybe because he's not as aggresive. Pavlik is more aggresive and has big power and knock people out. I have to go by what I see I can't go making up hypothetical theories like IF Kessler were aggresive then he'd KO more people. SO from what i've seen Pavlik hits harder. When he fights at 168 and doesn't KO people then I will change my analysis but from what I can see so far Pavlik hits harder.

He didn't KO Taylor the second time, because Taylor didn't go to the ropes.
Kessler is the better boxer, the power issue is basically unknown. Both guys have scored impressive KOs and both have gone the distance. Kessler is also the better athlete in terms of speed and agility, Pavlik probably has the advantage in stamina.
