No, Lennox wasn't shot, just out of shape. Neither man was in shape for this fight and agreed to fight this fight, and fans loved the fight. People said Vitali was winning this fight. I had the fight 3-3 with Lennox coming on. There is no "if Vitali didn't get cut" answer either. Cuts are part of the fight.

      He wasn't shot...just done. There's a difference.

I really don't understand what the big deal is - he won by TKO.

      End of story.

Lennox would have won the fight had it not got stopped on cuts anyways. Vitali had his chances early then Lewis started taking control.
This is how I saw it also...

can't really know if a fighter is shot unless they lose badly to someone they are not suppose to lose to. I would say Lennox was really past his prime but that doesn't mean he couldn't have beaten Vitali cuz I think he could have if he took the rematch.

how do you come to that conclusion?????

Lewis didnt start taking control, he won the last round before it was stopped, so what? he looked tired, Vitali was winning 4 rounds to 2,

            both fighters weren`t prepared fully,

people tend to use that excuse for Lewis and make it seem like Vitali was full prepared, when he was not either

Lewis knew he would lose to a fully prepared Vitali so he retired,

he was not shot but he was not at his best just like Vitali wasnt either.

i and im sure everyone else would have loved to have seen a rematch
Trust me, Lennox is not embarrassed to beat a prime Vitali by cuts. He stopped the man. What did you want Lennox to do...cut Vitali to ribbons? Vitali would always lose to Lennox. He didn't need to rematch Vitali because he stopped the man.

If memory serves me correct, he DID beat Vitaly.

And if memory serves me correct, he did it with his fists...

And if memory serves me correct, he had won the last three rounds

And if memory serves me correct, Vitali's lip was busted up too.

And if memory serves me correct, his face was swelling at a fast rate.

Fighters whose biggest wins come in losses are...losers.

I never said that Lewis lost that fight but you can't really say he won either. It was stopped on cuts and as far as I'm concerned, that doesn't count as a win. You win by decision or ko/tko PERIOD.

I don't think it's so much the fact it was stopped on cuts, I think it's more the fact that Klitschko was leading on the cards. If it was 4-2 Lewis, and it was stopped there wouldn't be so much debate imo.
