    lol so is he.

but i understand that mind set -- most people have no idea what Toney at SMW is because they haven't followed boxing that long or far back and usually only fan boy.

toney has always been fat ish.

and whats prime toney? toney was prime at higher weights imo, was toney prime when he got killed by jones? when he lost to GRIFFIN twice?

dont say barkley because that wasnt long before he fought jones and he was still a young champion back then.

That's true, he did always have weight issues with his eating But on form, and in shape Toney was very good.

Toney was kind of off and on really wasn't he? He could look great in one fight, then the complete opposite in another. Agsinst Jones he had big weight problems, and Jones overall skill obviously didn't help

I would say a good look of Toney on top form at SMW was against Barkley.

Prime Toney is really any version of Toney that is not over-weight / weight drained or pissing steroids.

toney was a great cruiser/heavy because his style suited him to it but out of b-hop,jones and calz he would be last of the 4 from 160-175, probably #1 at cruiser and above.

toney was just a man with no dicipline and couldnt control his spiriling weight issues, he isnt all that fast and calz would out box him as would b-hop.

he did well at heavy because they were slow and plodding too, jones dazzled him with handspeed and although calz is not as fast, he is damn fast too and would get the W.

Right there is his main problem, he had incredible skills. But he just couldn't keep his weight right to stay at lower weights, and at heavyweight he is aweful. With no weight limit he just comes in as a fat **** all the time

Toney would beat B-Hop and to say that he isn't at all fast is completely inaccurate. Calz piled on wins against weak opposition by overwhelming them with flurries and having the ref stop the fight -- Toney would easily counter Calz flailing. B-Hop vs. Toney depends more on which version of B-hop fights Toney. Its real unfortunate that Toney had that weight drain problem before he fought RJJ but I really don't think he would've beaten him anyway.

He would have made it much more competative though. All you have to do is watch the Toney-Jones fights and one of Toneys other fights at SMW (Where he wasn't drained of course) to tell he wasn't on top form.

Would've been nice to see JT landing a counter right as RJJ jumped in...ah well.
