How good would Ray Leonard be in this era? The last 8 years

Ray Leonard was of the best fighters of all time, but in my opinion he still had a lot to prove. His career was shortened because of the detached retina and ended up coming back to beat Hagler in a controversial decision.

How good would prime 147 pound Ray Leonard of 1979-1982 be in this particular era. You can go back as far as 2000 if you want. So here are some fighters he would have had to face

Ike Quartey - In his prime at 147

Oscar - In his prime at 147

    Shane Mosley - 147 pounds

    Vernon Forrest - 147 pounds

    Tito Trinidad - 147 pounds

Floyd Mayweather jr - 147 pounds

    Antonio Margarito - 147 pounds

I agree on Forrest. Vernon is 6-1 with a very good jab and right hand. His right hand is not as powerful as Hearns, but i think 2002 Forrest was a better defensive fighter than Hearns and took a better punch. If he builds a early lead Ray might not be able to come from behind like he did against Hearns.

ya'll trippin for even contemplating this silly question. He beats them all. He beats them all fairly easily too.

He could even step up to middleweight and beat pavlik as well.

**** no to the bold. Don't me wrong I like and respect Quartey but no way does Leonard have a tough fight with him. IMO Leonard would have a great chance to KO De la Hoya because De la Hoya doesn't have great stamina and Leonard could work his body. Kill the body and the head will fall sort of thing.

I think Forrest and PBF would be his toughest fight both of which he could win.

Ray Leonard is one of the very, very few fighters from any era that I would pick to dominate nearly any era. In his prime, it'd be hard to pick anyone today that would be a favorite in my book.

My opinion is that he'd be just as dominant as he was back then. He'd no doubt be accused of ducking Hagler (he did), and lots of people would hate him (they did), but he'd be almost unbeatable, regardless.

If he was the **** back then he'd be untouchable in today's era.
