Oscar De La Hoya: "Pacquiao Still Possible, Margarito is Not!"

Despite all of the reports that pronounced the fight dead, Oscar De La Hoya maintains that a bout with WBC lightweight champion Manny Pacquiao is still possible for December 6 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Pacquiao officially walked away from the fight on Wednesday after De La Hoya refused to come down from his 70-30 revenue split and told rejected Pacquiao counter-offer of 60-40. Pacquiao instructed his promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank to begin negotiations for a Humberto Soto bout in November, while Golden Boy Promotions is trying to secure Sergio Mora for De La Hoya in December. What a ****** excuse. Margarito can finish his business with Williams after a fight with DLH. I bet if they asked Margarito to fight Williams in Sept and DLH in Dec he would do it. Because he's a fighter with no excuses. DLH is using Williams as a copout for not fighting Margarito. Who has ever heard of a fighter saying you have unfinished business with that guy.
