Margarito can't beat Paul Williams. He most def can't beat Floyd. Rematch Paul Williams first then start talkin.

for him. THe people wanted Hatton vs Mayweather and we saw what happened....

I admit Margarito is tough but he could not beat Mayweather
That's a cop out. Margarito just destroyed Miguel Cotto. There's no way anybody can credibly say Margarito is "overhyped." And, just to set the record straight: Ricky Hatton is no Antonio Margarito. Not even close. Margarito is a monster. The surest way for Floyd to secure his legacy is to beat the recognized WW champ. He wouldn't fight Cotto, so I think we can all be assured that he won't be fighting Margarito either.

No. Floyd pees himself with fear at the mention of Margarito's name.

I think most of the boxing world would agree with that; no disrespect intended.

While Floyd could conceivably win a decision, it is very doubtful that he could hurt Margarito, much less knock him out. On the other hand, Margarito appears to be exactly the type of fighter that could not only beat Floyd, but do so in such a way as to forever devastate Floyd's well protected legacy. I think Floyd will stay retired until Margarito is gone...and that may be a long time. What do you think?
will margarito ever rematch williams or clottey?

Welcome back. I'd bet everything I own that Floyd couldn't hurt Tony, but Tony is also fairly slow, even more so when compared to Mayweather. I see Floyd doing his share of running, a lot of blocking, weaving and shoulder rolling, but ultimately winning a decision. Unless he comes back next december or something, two years since his last fight. Then the rust might get him if he doesn't take a tuneup fight.
I still think Cotto presents a tougher challenge.

Yeah, Quintanna was so petrified of him he faced him twice. Margarito was so afraid of him that he turned down a huge payday against Cotto (an even easier fight for him then) to fight him.

There is no recognized Welter champion anymore. Floyd retired and Williams beat Margarito. Margarito beat Cotto (the clear number 1 contender), so everything is in scrambles before Margarito and Williams rematch.

He already beat the recognized WW champ in Baldomir. Who had arguably the better resume. Margarito hadn't proved anything at the time of November 2006. His best win was Cintron.

Even though Margarito was making a career high purse against Williams and more then he would be making against Cotto of that year?
