don't get me wrong I love hopkins and hope he can pull it off. Stuff like this gets me a bit worried though, I mean to me he looked gassed for the very first time in his long career in the late rounds against calzaghe. For a man that takes his conditioning so seriously and prides himself on it that may be a good sign that it's time to hang 'em up.

Who knows though, Roach gets worried about his fighters easily because of his condition and his concern for their health, he wouldn't train Vasquez anymore after the first Marquez fight because he said he thought Vazquez was shuddering his words and might be brain damaged.

It's funny that he mentioned Hopkins walking back to the wrong corner 4 times. I was there and it was really odd and I never really heard anyone else bring that up.

Roach said Hopkins had the body of a 26 year old. Now he wants him to retire.

If Hopkins won I'd be very surprised..I think just what Freddie says is gonna happen.I also didnt know about the walking to the wrong corner bit...wtf is up with that? I really dont wanna see B hop get hurt, hes one of my fav but damn bruh Pavilik is another Margarito who blocks punches with his face. If Berjard was 5 years younger I'd say He'd win for sure but now I'nt know man, he is ****ing old, but thats the only reason I think he'll lose.B hop has never taken punishment.
hopkins is one of my favorite posts but i gotta agree...pavlik has a great chin and he punches real hard. I dont see hopkins gettin knocked out...hes too smart of a fighter. But like you said bernard 5 years younger woulda made calsloppy look bad and same goes for kelly ass-lick. It hurts me to say this but Hopkins should retire.

That was Shilstone who said Hopkins had the physical condition of a 27 year old. Second, that doesn't mean anything since it's never mentioned what TYPE of 27 year old. Are we talking about the average or elite at 27?

Oops. I'm sure we weren't talking about any kind of 27 year old, it was just hype. Probably hopkins should retire, he's still good and all, but he's 43, best days behind him, rich and boxing is a high risk venture.

Thanks for being honest. You really just admitted that a possible win over Jones is more important than the Hopkins win. I agree.
