I don't know. I have a hard time imagining Pavlik walking down Bernard and KOing him as he has lesser fighters. I think it would be a huge mistake for Kelly to think that he'll be able to fight that kind of fight with Hopkins. He may not land often, but Bernard will land clean. I think Pavlik will give Bernard all kinds of opportunities if he decides to come straight and him.

pavlik is a very stationary fighter

pavlik is not agile

pavlik telegraphs punches

While I agree with the first two, no way Pavlik telegraphs punches, They are straight and sneaky as hell. He loads up on nothing and pushes the punches out. He give minimal body language when throwing punches. That is how he gets away with that right hand while being kinda slow with his shots.

Not at all. Pavlik does so many little things that many don't even notice. He is not as stationary as you think. He uses angles, and is developing his defense rather well! He is also much more athletic than many give him creidt for. He is perieved that way due to his tall, and lankyness. If Pavlik can get the jab going, and step back when Bernard comes in, uses the uppercut, and side steps it could be a long night for Bernard. That is a big if though!

Does Bhop really need the money or what? I think he is still an ok boxer (bloody good for his age) but against younger fighters I think is now out of his league.

He can win matches on points with his style (boring thesedays) but if Pavlik can't beat him then it will certainly show a lot of Pavlik fans. Much in the same way that would have happened if old popkings could have beaten Calzaghe.

I will still watch the fight. I am in Australia and most of my mates won't even know Kelly Pavlik and only a few know Bhop but **** it, I love boxing so I will watch it. Marked down in the diary
