    Cotto and Margarito

Do you think any of the 2 fighters will get affected by nerves before the fight?
If so will it affect their performance in the early rounds?

My theory is, Cotto is a bit of a slow starter (Judah fight) and if Margarito wants to win he must go all out in the first few rounds and try and catch Cotto off guard and hurt him. It's a bit far-fetched but i think that's the only chance Margarito has to win the fight as i can't see him winning a decision or knocking him out late on.

Margarito will start early but needs to be careful not to burn himself out because Cotto is a beast in the later rounds.

Cotto didn't fight late in the Mosley fight. Tonys pressure is a lot more consistent, so he has a chance of a late ko.

It would be quality if Tony pulls this off.

If Tony finally got a break it would be brilliant. The guy has wanted it for a long time, Floyd wouldn't give it him. Then Williams stopped the Cotto fight. Now it's on, he is determined. His best shot is the overhand right imo, Well best against Cotto as Shane landed that shot consistantly so that could be Tonys oppertunity.

I think if it affects anyone, it'll affect Margarito because Cotto's been on this stage before against Judah and Mosley, Margarito hasn't experienced this type of big fight yet but even if it does affect him, it won't be for long.

I don't think Cotto is a slow starter, he takes a couple of rounds to get his rhythm going but I wouldn't call him a slow starter.

I don't know if I'd put it down to nerves on Cotto's part, but one of Margs best chances to win is to jump all over Cotto from the beginning and give the supposedly suspect chin a thorough test. Even if he doesn't get a KO this will prevent Cotto from getting into his rhythm and give Marg the chance to bag some early rounds.

The longer Margarito leaves Cotto standing in that ring the worse it is for him. They are polar opposites. Cotto gets hot late. Margarito is hot early. It comes down to who does a better job of figuring the other guy out when he is in his zone.

Margo didn't start the same way he did against Cintron than what he did in Golden Jhonson. this should tell you that he knows what waters can he swim and he won't go in like crazy against Cotto. In the first Cotto will try to land his jab and if he finds the distance then he can stay boxing all night. Margo is one dimensional and as much as he says that he trained in the jab and his boxing, he will go for the same style.

                  Cotto UD or late stoppage

20k Cotto over Margo. PM me if u want

IMO Margarito's best chance of ko'ing/hurting Cotto will be before the 6-7th round. Cotto has not faced relentless pressure like this before. I'm sure Cottto can adjust to this but what "if" he gets caught before doing so? If the fight goes any longer past 2/3rds of the fight IMO it will then favor Cotto. IMFO!
