how do you see the margarito-cotto fight going???

i think cotto is going to run like a coward after he gets his first taste of true welterweight power. i dont see him going toe to toe with this mexican bad ass.

So what. Like a true complete/multi-dimensional fighter, he will use the one thing against Margarito that he doesn't have......and that's boxing skills.

A 5'7 guy who started at 140 doesn't have a reason to braw/ go toe to toe with a 5'11 guy who fought at 147 his whole career and should be at 154 by now, that is if he was good enough to compete there.

Cotto has the smarts in the ring that Margarito doesn't. He's patient and waits for his openings. Tony going straight at Cotto like as if he'll just sit there will be a bad game plan, and don't get it twisted...Cotto will go toe to toe with Margarito when the time is right. He can mix his boxing & brawling as proven in the past.

People (mostly Margarito fans) will be surprised how well Cotto can take Tony's shots and how effective his punches will be against Tony.

I think we all want to see a war and if it was a war you may have to say slight edge to Margarito but then again I dont know it may be even.

Now-heres the deal...Cotto has no business getting into a complete slugfest with Tony...he is way to skilled, he has all of the advantages in this fight...why would he throw those advantages (jab, foot speed, hand speed) out the window and give the rugged Margarito his best opportunity?

Trust me Cotto will stand and fight but he will pick and choose the times he does so and more times then not when he does stand and trade it will be on his terms.

I see 6 rounds where they go at it and I tend to think they split those rounds even. I also see another 6 rounds in this fight where Cotto shows why he is the most complete fighter at 147 today and simply outclasses Tony with boxing-tend to see these rounds at 4-2 or 5-1...

                Add those up...

It will be a good fight but not the fight I probably expected when it was signed...Cotto just has too many options to make this fight Corrales v. Castillo.

I think Cotto will try to box,but Margarito will drag him into a war, knowing Cotto,he will go to war

U mean like Ulises Solis did against Nonaire, run like a *****.

Cotto is going to move and punish Tony, not run.
