Lennox Lewis: "I'm Wladimir Klitschko's Only Challenger"

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis says that current IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is without a real challenger. He doesn't see anyone giving Klitschko a real fight at the present, including David Haye. [details]

        He's still 42.

Would be his last chance EVER to make a comeback, and at the perfect time.

        Wladimir win.

Vitali rematch if he beats Peter.

        Both fights would be HUGE.

It was very tongue in cheek when he said that about himself...but he does raise a good point...the fight was decent and i think any heavyweight with decent hand speed can catch klitschko. David haye has the potential but i don't think going straight for klitschko as your second fight at heavyweight would be wise.

I think Lewis makes these comments once a year to rub it in that he retired and stayed retired.

My money would be on the Klitschko in 2008. I don't think it would even be close.

agreed it wouldn't be close, but disagree that wlad would win. I think if lewis trained his ass off for atleast 7 months to get back into shape, he would beat and maybe even ko klitschko. if 36 year old thompson who started fighting at 27 could give wlad a little trouble, imagine what lewis would do.

when you're a big heavyweight and have power you can be still effective. foreman proved it. if evander didn't have a great chin , who's to say he couldn't have been moorered as well.

he's almost as tall as wlad and vitali. he has a longer reach. use the norton cross arm defense and plod away. when you're that big no need to bounce around.

wlad doesn't have a great chin. that gives lennox a puncher's chance at worse.

vitali is no spring chicken himself and he has been inactive almost as long as lennox.

why not? i'd buy the ppv. wlad and vitali are not fleetfooted , fast , in and out aggresive fighters. they'll plod and jab with lennox......
